There are several songs that have non-Tamil content in TFM. This is a listing exercise aimed at cataloguing these songs.
I would like to concentrate on songs that have a heavy input of these languages rather than a couple of words in other languages. In other words, Sundari Neeyum is good; Maatthadu Maatthadu Mallige does not qualify.

English is the most dominant of these languages. I remember that there was a complete song in English in Idayak Kani. Bhanumathi had a couple of songs in Patthu Madha Bandam. (I think)
Kaise Kahoon is a complete Hindi song in Nandu.
For Malayalam, the only two songs I can think of are Mandhara Malare and Sundari Neeyum Sundaran Nanum.
Indhia Nadu En Veedu from Bharata Vilas has charanams that are heavy in Kannada, Malayalam and Punjabi.

there was a god-forsaken movie called rani yaar kuzhanthai (en thalai ezhuththu naan intha mathiri pettila thoongara padaththai ellaam paarththirukkiren) in which SPB sings an English song that goes alone on a morning, a girll went walking set to the tune of kalyana samayal saadham (maya bazaar)!!!!

cram,
I remember quite a few of these unfortunate numbers too:
English
-Love is fine darling when you're mine (AAAHH, the horror the horror!! from "Thavaputhalvan")
-I'll sing for you, I'll dance for you ("Nallathoru Kudumbam", TMS/LR Eashwari & English need I say more about this deadly combination?)
-Kaettukkoadi Urumi Melam...(Jayalalitha sings inane English lyrics in this dreadful song from "Pattikkaadaa Pattanamaa")
-How wonderful how beautiful (Kamal and ex-Mrs.Kamal dance to this sickly number in "Mel Naattu Marumagal". Worse, there's at least two more nauseating songs by Usha Uthup from this movie which I have thankfully forgotten)
-Sino Rita I love you my sweetheart you love me (needless, irritating English intrusion in an otherwise enjoyable song from "Johnny")
-Swing, Swing unathu oonjal naan, Sweet Sweet unadhu paadal naan (someone should steal the Thesaurus from Vaali, "Vanakkaththukkuriya Kaathaliyae")
-Oh, little flower, see your lover, see your chittu kannil pattu pattu sikkikkonda lover (some old Sivaji movie)
-Ilamkiliyae innum vilangaliyae...oh, my sweetie don't be so haughty, I am so happy but I can't help it sweetie (a great hummable tune by IR that's royally *&%?>+ with English lyrics, from "Shankarlal")
I remember this repulsive song, "Under the mango tree on the banks of the kaveri...malligaippoooo" by Usha Utup. Was it from Madana Maaligai?
I wish there was a select/delete in my memory for these songs.
Malayalam
These are mostly very good songs that I wouldn't do without:
-Gnyaan Gnyaan Paadanam (by Jency from "Poonthalir")
-Sapthaswara devi unaru (prelude for "Kavidhai Arangerum Neram" from "Andha 7 Naatkal")
-Kaakkaala Kannammaa Kanvizhichchu (from "Uravugal" the Thamizh dubbing of "Yathra Mozhi"; the song has alternating lyrics in Thamizh and Malayalam)
Telungu
-Yerraani Kurraththaani Gopaalaa (a spectacular folk song from "Kaadhalan")
Malaysian
-Ennuyir neethaanae (intermittent Malaysian and Thamizh)
Hindi
-Kaisae Kahoon (full-fledged Hindi song from "Nandu", still haven't forgiven IR for sacrificing this amazing tune for a Hindi song)

The song ennuyir needhaanae. Well it is the killing of Bahasa Malaysia I presume. After 5 years in Malaysia I am still unable to decipher what the lyrics could have been. May be people like NOV could help.

Thanks for recalling the song 'I will Sing for you...'. I somehow liked the song when I was in my 1st std. I think the movie is something like 'Manidharil Maanickam..." (What is in a name anyway!!)
There used to lot of english lyrics (so called?) included in the songs of the early 70s. I remember a song by P. Bhanumathi (i think the film is Pathu Maadha Bandham , where she sings for her daughter or something -- don't know the lyrics-- tuned by the then Xerox machine SG) which I used to like then. The songs used to be played every sunday at 4.00 program. Any chance you remember that song.
Anyway thanks for reminding some old songs.....

How about
'Naan Endral adhu ' in SuryGandhi. Jayalalitha spits some inane words like sure.. which I still find it difficult to understand...
Are you refering to 'Love is a pleasure(or is it treasure???) sung by Usha Utup. There is another song in Idhayakani by Usha Uthup(something to do with heart/love...)

VB:
Love is a treasure is the 'mEl nAttu marumagaL'
song (MD: Kunnakkudi V) that Udhaya mentioned.
'Suryakanthi' has a sick song by TMS and J
which goes as O mErE dhilroopA. But
the song nAn endrAl adhu avaLum nAnum
is certainly a very good song.. SPB's sweet
singing carries this song beautifully in spite of
J's frequent interference.
Udhaya:
It's sad to see you classifying Love is fine
darling and O Little Flower under the
'unfortunate/delete' category. The first song
has a nice tune(+beat) that flows very nicely throughout.
Forgetting the lyrics (the English part was by Randor Guy
and thamizh part by Vali) the song is good.
The second song is a nice jazzy number. It is from
the movie, 'neela vAnam'.

cram: One Hottu Summeru Morning is from Rani Yaar Kuzhandhaiya? Ippa naan indhap padatthai enge thedi kandupidikkaradhu?
Hello My Dear Wrong Number has only one line in English. I wouldn't classify that as heavy. Ditto for Lovely Figure, Oh Mere Dilrooba, Oh Little Flower, Senorita I love you, I will sing for you etc.
I will sing for you is from Manidharul Manikkam. Balaji, I didn't realize that more than one person has seen that movie. That movie has AVM Rajan as the hero with Sivaji playing a guest role. The song goes like
I will sing for you
I will dance for you
Aattamenna Solludi Thozhi
Naan Aadugiren Konja Nazhi
Another song from that movie goes
Manamullavan Evano Avandhan Manidharul Manikkam Nalla Gunamulalvan Evano avandhan Unmaiyile Manidhan
Can anybody translate the Telugu lines from Sindhu Nadhiyin Misai Nilavinile? Here are the lines:
Manasidhi Neekosam
Mangala Neekosam
Mamathavesam
Mayani Madhubalam
Nee Kankana Ragam
Nee Adhi Anuragam
Mana Ee Vaibhogam
.................
The singer J.V.Ragavulu, is a Telugu MD, I believe.
The Malasian song went
Hattiatthu Sukkawa
Laluwanthu Chintava
Dayapandandandarimu
Dayabari Harihare Dukkha
The Idayak Kani song was written by Randor Guy.
There is a song in Anbe Va which goes like
Once a Papa met a Mama in a little touring bus. I dont know what follows this and whether it is really English or not.
Udhaya: Thanks for coming up with songs like Sapta Swara Devi.
I like Usha Uthups voice in general and I liked songs like Love is a Treasure, Love is fine darling when you are mine etc. The Kaveri song goes like
Underneath the Mango Tree
On the Banks of the Kaveri
More later
Please use spaces whereever appropriate. If somebody can translate that, that would be great.

Your transliteration is close but jency's rendition is far from the language. So may be NOV will give the correct lyric and post the meaning for us all to understand.
NOV. Over to you.
