"Navarasa Nayagan" Karthik songs

Karthik is one actor who has gotten great music in his films thanks mainly to Ilayaraja, but there are others like Bharadwaj, Shanker-Ganesh, etc., who also chip out their hits in a Karthik film. Here are Karthik's greatest songs -

1)Kadhal Oviyum - (Alaigal Oivathillai). Ilayaraja should have won a national award for this movie.
2)Saagara Sangammame - (Seethakoka Chiluka)- wondeful, underrated song
3)Kaalai Nera Kaatae - (Bhagavathipuram Railway Gate) an obscure, but brilliant song by IR
4)Vaa Vaa Anbe and Rajadhi Raja (Agni Natchathriam). Just fantastic
5)All songs in Varusham 16 - especially "Gangai Karai Manandi". IR can't be beaten in classical.
6)Paadi Parantha Killi - (Kizhakku Vaasal) - A sad song, but one that is brilliantly orchestrated.
7)All songs in "Abinandana(telugu)" - dubbed in tamil as "Kadhal Geetham" especially "Kangaliley Kanavo". Another album that deserved the national award for IR
8)Oru Kadhal Devadhai - (Idhaya Thamarai) Shanker-Ganesh's best soundtrack in my opinion. Almost sounded IR-like.
9)All songs in Gopura Vasalile - especially the classic "Kadhal Kavithaigal.."
10)Maniay Mani Kuyile - (Nadodi Thendral) - IR's last with Bharathiraja. What a way to go out.
11)Thendralae Kandu Kolla - (Nilave Mugam Kaatu) -another fantastic, underrated album from IR.

So, there are my picks. There are much more but I can't think of it now. Anyway, I like for you guys to add your favorite songs in Karthik's films.

  I have that song on CD (Innum Enthan...) and it says that the MD is MSV. WHat i mean by GA is Gangai Amaran, Ilayaraja's brother. Adequate explanation? ;-)

  pandi naattu thangam had very good songs. "vanamellam shenbagapoo" from nadodi paatukaran was a very good number. Another great no. was 'devadhai ilan devi unnai sutrum aavi".
  idayath thamarai, urimai geetham, gokulathil seethai, mettukudi had some decent numbers too.

  Sreedhar, Karthik's co-star in "Kanne Radha" is Radha. Directed by Ramanarayan, I think. That song is a great song indeed.

  There was one fantastic song by Lata Mangeshkar in the film "En Jeevan Paduthu" starring Karthik and Saranya, directed by B.Lenin. It goes like "Engirundho Azhaikum..." An absolutely wonderful song.

  I think 'Kanne Radha' has 4 songs in all, though I cannot recall the titles of the songs apart from 'Maalai Sooda Kanne Radha'.
  
  'Muthu Kaalai' had another very melodious song, 'Punnai Vanathu...' an SPB duet.
  
  'En Jeevan Paaduthu' had at least two other melodious songs like 'Mouname Mouname' and 'Katti Vatchikko'. But definitely 'Engiruntho Azhaikkum' is the pick of the lot.
  
  Periya Veettu Panakkaran also has some good rustic songs, such as 'Vandhaara Vaazha Vaikkum', 'Summa Nee Suttraathe', 'Pallaakku Kuthiraiyile' (this song comes at the climax of the film, and is the least known song in the film), etc.

  Who can forget "Then Aruvyil" from the film "Aagaya Gangai" starring Karthik and Suhasini? One of IR's most underrated songs. There were also some other great songs in that movie.

  I love all your movies and songs in them. If I want to be honest I will never ever go off your films or the lovely songs paticularly in some films.   There was one song in Bharathiraja's "Vaalibame Vaa Vaa"(Karthik, Radha) called "Pon Vana" sung by K.J. Yesudas and S.P. Shailaja. Wonderful song, and the only good song in the movie. Rare for a Bharathiraja film.

  There was a movie directed by Manivannan titled "Kathal Oivathillai" starring Karthik and Ramya Krishnan. Music by IR. Songs are very good but one song is vintage IR - "Maanikka Silaiyey", sung beautifully by S.P.Bala and S. Janaki.

  Most of the songs from our Karthik's film is great but underrated. Maybe the movies are not hit but his songs are wonderful especially the ones with Ilayaraja's music and sung by our evergreen S.P.B.

  Here is another missing album from this list. The movie "Chinna Kannamma" (*ing Karthik, Gouthami, Suhasini)had some wonderful songs. The best pick - "Enthan Vaazkeyin" sung beautifully by Mano.
