WHAT MAKES IR THE KING OF MELODY!

Just Listened to the song Poongatru Un Per Solla from Vteri Vizha.

Just conclude that IR is the king of melodious and soulful songs in Tamil.

  Fliflo, I decided tat an IR praising thread is the right environment to discuss this. Firstly, I do not spew venom. I state my opinions, but I do not use bad language to describe IR or his fans, like the nameless & vulgar person (@ 64.216.219.124) u r so keen to defend. Secondly, u can speak for urself on the account of "spewing venom" in every ARR "discussing" thread. U wont even see me going to each and every IR thread to condemn IR's work like u do in every ARR discussion thread (every regular DFers here will know tis truth). So dont make to me ur hypocritical statements.
  I have asked admin to delete disgusting posts previously. Later I witnessed admin doing this and realised from the consequences why admin dont do this more often. It's simple bcos they keep creeping back like weed. And wat wit regular **Fans like u going to great lengths to lend them ur full support, they keep coming back for more.
  I wasnt advising Bharath either. I was trying to console him. Tat's bcos i've witnessed some of my fave threads in tis forum get hit wit the repetitive venom-spewing syndrome (u might remember tis, since u were one of the big contributors to tis syndrome). So as someone who understood his frustrations, I was trying to sooth his frustrations, whether it worked or not, I wudnt know. Anyway, u can try to check ur concern for such matters & work on urself first before butting in.

  "Valaiosai" from Satya is one of his best. Awesome composition. I recently got hold of that song and I am playing it in an infinite loop ever since :-)
  
  WN, a small suggestion. Can you not type "that" as "tat" and "this" as "tis". It is difficult to read. Hope you don't mind.

  I guess he is not only king of melody. He is kind of all types of songs. He has got the best ears for music in the music field. That's why he gives us the best. Just listen to the title song of 'Niram Maratha Pookkal' it is really a haunting score..

  I heard he got 9 tunes for chinna tambi in about 40 minutes.

  Fella... I have been an enthusiastic listener of IR for long time from Annakili(even though it came bfore i was born) till some 90s movies. after that that guy failed to give refreshing tunes. I tell you an examble. Take the Muthumani maalai song from Chinna Kundar ( :) ). That beat in the background. How many songs IR had with that one single thabela background? Wheneve an IR movie comes there are 2 songs with that 'dakku dokku dokku dakku'beat...except dat part dat song is wonderful. But from the start to end non stop there is dakku dakku dokku dokku. I dunnno about you but i cant eat same pizza everyday

  Kum IR has shown enough variety in musical arrangments. It is ARR music which sound the same in all his movies starting from Roja. Same kind of tune 'tounchikku thunchikku" or very slow piece
  
  vellai mazhai, thoda thoda, chitirai nilavu, uyire uyire, en kathale, tumile, ... so many of his slow songs sound the same.. i began to feel even from his 3rd or 4th movie..
  
  "Telephone Mani pol" beat he has beaten to death..
  "Thanha Thanha", "Margazhi Poove".. more or less same kind of beat.. When it comes to recycling there is none better than ARR.
  
  typical ARR process
  
  1) He scores music for a tamil movie X
  2) He uses fully or half the songs from X in to telugu version of X
  3) If some songs left in X he will use it in Hindi movie Z or Telugu movie Y
  4) If he first scores music for an hindi movie A
  5) He will use half in tamil movie B rest in telugu movie C.
  .....
  This juggling continues... even in his bombay dreams same old song which composed years back..
  When someone can do that 'lifting of tune' from his own movies without even understanding about the scope of the movie with such blatance, don't you think it is easy for him to use his same tune again and again... with you 'gnanan soonyams' don't notice it.
  
  Our Annu Mallik is addicted to lifting tunes from Latin music. Even after his colors were exposed he managed to be at the top. Our ARR followed his path.. Lift tunes from unknown language. After world is a big place.. He can lift music from anywhere in the world without anyone noticing..
  Just go to mp3.com or any other websites there are millions of tunes available to choose from.
  Illayaraja scored amazing pieces even in the non-internet era. He didn't lift music like ARR does..
  No matter how the songs of ARR sound it is still a copied one. To popularize his tamil 'pop' tunes he misuses tamil movies.
  
  CONCLUSION:
  
  There is yet someone to be born like ARR to achieve what he has achieved in recycling. He has even left behind Deva and Anu Mallik. Nowadays people are slowly realizing oh 'same old tune'.

  Even though your argument is lengthy it is quite ordinary. You shouldnt defend IR by dissing ARR 99% and writing of IR 1%. We are talking about IR so lets stay with him and MUSIC. dats it.
