Ramesh Vinayagam's Nala Damayanthi to be released in May.

Kamal Hassan's Raaj Kamal International produced and Mouli (Pammal K Sambantham) directed R Madhavan, Geethu Mohandas, Shruthika, Sreeman starrer, Nala Damayanthi is all set to release in May 2003. The music is by Ramesh Vinayagam (University and Thottu Thottu.. from Yai nee romba azhaga irukkey). The lyrics are supposed to be written by Vairamuthu.

The film is releasing in May it seems, so the music may be out anytime soon. Post comments.

  There is no denying about his talent! All he needs is a 'hit' and it seems like his latest Raj Kamal films 'Nala Damayanthi' is painting the town red and Kamal too hasn't stopped from making news be it his special guest appearance in the movie with Madhavan or his voice to the tunes for a westernised background, he tries mixing lot of genres and of course from different nations too. While most other companies go for the major music directors, Kamal has roped in a new music director Ramesh Vinayakam and the music is all set to release shortly. On the other hand, looks like Bollywood producer Vashu Bhagnani is to remake the Hindi version while renowned film editor Apoorva Asrani is on the talks to direct this comedy riot. Though the actor was hospitalised last week for a surgery, he is back again and is all excited to steal the show.

  the songs are jus wonderful in nala damayanthi.especially the song "thirumangalya" is too good.the kid, saijanani has sung very well.she's sung the first two lines.the music is simply superb.the duet song enna idhu sung by ramesh vinayakam and chinmayi is good.

  Well, I heard the audio at tamiltune.com today. It was a fairly daring venture, considering that I generally neglect recent music that is not IR's. I only listened to the song 'Enna Ithu Enna Ithu.' I ended up liking it. I was expecting some loud, obnoxious orchestration, but lucked out. I need to listen to the rest of the album before I can really give an accurate review though.

  The songs are realy very nice!!
  
  
  However it goes without saying that Ramesh is another clone of ARR.
  
  However he does what ARR resfuses to do nowadays i.e. give simple ARR-ish compositions. Some very catch tunes. Kamal must have had a big influence.

  Hope this revives this thread. Pity the new MDs do not get ample coverage here.
  Anyway, I'm hooked to "Enna Ithu". the intro piano "hook", the interludes that continue the same theme... I'm already down hook, line & sinker.
