Karthik Raja's DUM DUM DUM

Any one heard the songs of DUM DUM DUM? I think it's out today. Can anyone give a review of the songs since it's a much awaited songs from MANI-KR Combination.

  This is too much.
  OKay. I saw a small clipping of one song in vijay TV. It seems to be nice. The song is picturised similar to the situation in Khusi where Jhothika sing "Megam ...." some song (I forgot lyrics).
  
  But this song seems to be far better. Hope this album turns out to a hit.

  KRs future projects are all depend on this movie Dum Dum if he give some pretty below average scores like Vanchinadan then sorry to say he has to kiss goodbye and be an assistant to his father again.
  Hope he has scored nice for this movie.
  And the movie also should become a super hit then only he can think of staying his head above the waters with current competition its very difficult
  So far the movies he has scored nothing is a hit
  most of them super flops ... :(

  Vanchinathan is a disappointing album except one song, I agree with you. But UKP has couple of good songs.

  UV, I think Ullasam and Nam Iruvar Namakku Iruvar are good hits, as far as the audio is concerned. KR music is different as it is more of classical, Veesum Katruku of Ullasam for instance.

  KR is talented no doubt abt that .
  I liked his Grahan very much but look at the movies they also have to be a hit.
  Its a sentiment in our film industry thats why
  if tomorrow DumDum is superhit and then MD-DIR combination will continue .

  Frankly, KR and YSR have NOT made good use of the opportunities they have got. They got a chance to score music for some big movies like Dheena and Vanchinaathan which have done well at the box office. But I was disappointed at the overall quality of the albums. its strange that KR came up with some good tunes when he was assisting IR but left on his own, is yet to impress(except for grahan which is of course not TFM).
  
  these guys are even struggling to be in that second-tier level which was once occupied by the likes of Vidhyaasagar, maragathamani etc. who gave much better tunes.

  KR is doing fine. He lacks some good sound engineering. It is very difficult to underestimate this aspect of an album. I think all Tamil Film songs should be recorded/produced using comparable technologies. Only then it makes for a good comparison.
  Musically, I think, KR has been too much in his father's shadow, he is consciously making an attempt to evolve his style. He has lot of unlearning to do. This (evolving style) shows up in his output, being not powerful enough to create a specific impression on people. Other than that, I think he is good in melody . He is also the only guy who seems to be doing contrapuntal WCM style music still (like IR), while everybody else (including YSR) are making groove based music.

  Its not Mani-KR combi in the first place. The movie is directed by Mani's assistant, Azhagam Perumal. Mani tends to use other composers for his home productions whihc he does not direct.
  
  Examples: Dasarathan - L Subramaniam (or was it L vaidyanathan?)
  
  Aasai, nerukku ner - Deva
  and now Dum dum dum - KR.

  U r absolutely correct. MR uses other MD for his home prod. For his own movies, ARR is his choice. MR is (cleverly) a good money maker and fame-finder. Oppsss...I am not into fault finding..just a say !!!

  I again listened to the piece that I have mentioed earlier. Still the same reaction.
  I would like to remind to some that KR did the signature song for a serial in DD. The story was based of OLD and NEW Testamens. It was overall about Jesus. It was some 6 year before I think. The serial got into trouble due to some controversy. But the music score was really good. KR was very young at that time. BUt, till now he hasn't done any thing noteworthy in tfm. Grahan is marvellous no doubt.
  He has had enough chances. DDD will more or less determine every thing. He has to be exceptional, both in quality and popularity, in this aulbum.

  This is tipical of IR veriars. You don't read properly, don't understand properly, but just vommit before you eat.
  
  "THis is ooooaaaaa *(I am vomitting). " - this line is for vandhinathan/vanjinathan.
  
  I have been consistent in praising Grahan.
  
  "Listen to Grahan(Hindi) from the same lad. " - means, the same lad has given something nice like Grahan.

  "Naan sixer adichchum hit wickectnu appeal pannineenga, ana neenga pottadhu no ball"

  I am a new commer in my office. Not much to do now. I am in my secod shift and no body else is here. I finish all my work by 1900hrs and keep waiting for calls from clients. In these few hours I can browse inet.
  One day I caught hold of this site. Initially I was just going thru all your postings. I couldn't resist, so I too started posting some stuff.
