  What is ur opinion about Shreenivas who has been used by Rehman in 3 songs (I guess so)
  1.Kaiyil Midhakkum (Ratshagan)
  2.Ennuyire (Uyire)
  3.Thayya Thayya (Uyire)

  I would like to know more (in detail) about the latest music sensation, Agosh, who did the music for Zor (Hindi) and Harichandra (Tamil). Agosh is really excellent. Their music is superb.

  Dear Leon,
  Agosh stands for Anand,Gopal Rao and Shalin Sharma.They are a trio which is a rarity in TFM.Anand did music for film "Sakthi" and I think composed Sun TV theme music.They are now doing the film "Kodeeswaran" wich is K.T.Kunjumon's launch pad for his son Aby.

  I know that R.Anand is the MD of Sakti. But Gopal Rao is one of the latest singers right?
  
  Also, if I am not mistaken, I think I saw MD R.Anand in the movie Harichandra. He appeared for a very short while in a scene. (the scene in a studio). Am I correct?

  I saw the film "Pooveli" yesterday (MD : Bharathwaj, MD for "Kadhal Mannan" also). The songs were all junk and I feel that the BGM in most of the scenes is an exact copy (not "inspire" stuff, and all) from the film "Idhayam" (MD : IR) and in some places he has also used the BGM from the film "Brave Heart" (MD : James Horner). Correct me if I am wrong.
  
  Now, should we have to add this guy Bharathwaj also to the list of Deva, Sirpi, et al? His song "unai paartha pinbu", rendered beautifully by SPB, showed glimpses of a promising MD. But, then "Pooveli" has exposed him as a very highly mediocre MD.

  I don't remember any such song in "Pooveli". Maybe, it was not there in the film or I didn't understand the lyrics properly. There was one song, however, which was ok, till the pallavi but the interludes and the charanam were dabba. I think you must be referring to that song only. Other songs were trash. Anyway, did you see the film? Did you note the plagiarism in the BGM?

  Shanmugam, how many times have you listened to 'pooveli' album??I think only once. When albums by
  great MDs require 5-10 listenings to be appreicated i think you should atleast take some effor to listen to this album couple of more times before declaring trash, junk etc.
  
  IMO'vazhkkai vazhkkai megam pole'is an excellent song with great guitar interludes. The guitar piece is really worth listening
  
  'oru poo ezhudhum'another cute song by Uk and chitra with decent lyrics by Vmuthu
  
  
  Bharadwaj and new Mds need to be appreciated. You need not bave to encourage newbies but atleast we should refrain from discouraging-IMO

  What is your opinion of Ranjit Barot's music for V.I.P. I think he has done a marvelous job, especially minnal oru kOdi, eechchangaattu, and mayilu mayilu (though I wish he didn't use Unni, in Telugu it is SPB&Chitra).

  Bharadwaj's music was good in "Kathal Mannan"(especially,"unnai partha","Vanum Mannum" )and also "Oru poo ezhuthum" and "Ithu than kaathala" in Pooveli.Please don't discourage him in this site.

  just a little deviation from the topic..did any of u see arr's show telecast on sony TV.
  I guess it was his show at dubai.SPB was too good. If u noticed there was a new singer by name Ramya Venkat who sang cinna chinna asai in hindi. I thought it was real good. Another new singer introduction by ARR...I am not sure if ARR has already used her for TFM or HFM. ARR shld be appreciated for this..
