Can we get together one day!!!!

Hi All TFMers
I always think if is it possible to organize a meeting in a common place. We all discuss and argue but most of us dont know each others. Why dont we vote on a place to meet and date. Then we can see if see could really work this out. Your comments are welcome.

  i think it would be good to selct three areas and have meetings of TFM DF'ers there. for example those in india can meet at b'lore and those in US can meet in chicago etc. later we can exchange

  What you have suggested may sound pretty
  interesting that all the people in India meet in
  BLR or the people in US can meet in Chicago etc.
  But that may not be feasible. I hope you
  understand. It is possible for people in Boston
  to even go to NY city and meet others from NJ or
  vice versa, but it may be difficult for them to
  fly down to Chicago just for this meeting. Yes,
  if we can plan well ahead( imean seriosly plan 2-
  3 months in advance atleast) for some long
  weekend combined with holidays etc., we can try

  I have just seen this thread. Nice to know about seeing each other at Chicago. But I am from Cincinnati.( I think this has to be corrected in the list given by PK).

  iam based in columbia, SC and i have not decided my choice of the meeting. what iam giving is just a suggestion. i know that it is difficult for guys in NY to come down to chicago.
  but then we have to decide a place! so we have to go by the choice of the majority, that's all. if many want to meet in chicago then fine we can meetr in chicago.
  
  it is not possible for guys in india to come here for the meeting so i suggested meeting in B'lore.

  we had come up with this 'one meeting place in the US' concept long back, but that did not seem to work. so we decided to have regional meeting points. that is why all this discussion. well, I do not mind arranging a meeting if others want to come to Chicago. I am fairly new to Chicago (about 6 months to be precise), and what I hear from my friends here, the winter is usually a bit bad than what you mey see in NY / NJ. So, If there are many others who want to come down to Chicago, we need to wait till Feb. atleast when the weather may be better. It is already getting cold here(early morning temp. here is like 35 deg. Far.) and so I would suggest we not plan for a big meeting here in Chicago. Instead the people around Chicago are always welcome to setup a meeting as discussed earlier.
  
  Well, the meeting date of Oct. 24/25 doen't seem to be OK with the local Chicago people also. So, I am waiting for futher suggestions on a meeting date in Chicago. Any weekend is OK with me, and as of now, Aurora Temple seems to be a good choice. Suggestions for alternate locations are always welcome.

  I am game for a meeting on Saturday morning or Sunday of all Chicagoans. We can have atleast 8 people there. Friday evening, the traffic can be bad. Saturday morning can be great. Sathyavageeswaran will be at DC this weekend and most weekends.
