Kumudam opinion poll on IR vs ARR

There has always been a complaint in TFM DF that IR fans manipulate ratings etc.

Please visit the latest opinion poll conducted by Kumudam. IR wins by huge majority. If you find time, please read through the various opinions from all over the world. It is really amazing to find that we are not alone in praising IR - The Genius

  i think u had probably missed to hear some good songs in ur life composed by IRR. I could come to the conclusion that u did nt happen to hear to good music in ur life time.
  
  ARR is no 1 copy master in the world. There is no doubt abt it. He is a recycle bin who will use old tunes and give a new flavour. He lacks variety and none of his songs were ever green. All were hype. To prove it, he scored for a hindi version of kadallukku mariyathi and within 3 months he scored the same music in jodi, tamil film. similar is the case with STAR(prasanth and jodhikaa..)
  
  ARR season (so were all ARR rasikas were telling) is also over. u cant survive in the industry without talent.
  None of his songs were hit as he used same old tunes.

  Yes TFM to HFM is a not an easy thing, you must make music that should be liked and sold in all states of India and not to just tamil speaking community thats why IR was never able to get a hold on HFM.
  if you say he lacks variety then you must be living in Antartica. what a joke!
  infact it is IR who lacks variety makes same old dandanaka damukuchaka stuff with tablas.
  ARR's song have national appeal thats why he's able to interchange it easily?
  What happened to IR's hindi album Heyram, nobody cared to buy it.
  Had IR made the tunes of Virumandi as good as Thevar magan the movie would have been a super hit, now the movie has just done break even business.
  Go and Pray that your IR's form doesnt go down further that will make better sense.

  Why is it necessary to make music that "all states" like? Cricket has negligible following in most countries. Does that make Sachin a non-entity?
  
  Srinivas, if Mani dropped IR after a super-hit like Thalapathy, did you ever wonder if it was for musical reasons or otherwise?
  
  Why did not Kamal get ARR to score music for Hey Ram or Virumandi? Why did he go to Raja? Give me the usual lame excuse about ARR being busy with his "World-level" commitments.
  
  The problem is that you are confusing music with money. Does a Beethoven CD sell as much as a Brittney Spears CD? Does it then make Brittney Spears (shortening it to BS seems a bit uncharitable) a better musician than Beethoven?

  I was wondering a few aspects about this musical project.
  
  Why it has to be a public funded project?
  Did the corporates say no to it, considering it will not be a commercial success.
  Okay, in that case why has Mr.Illayaraja has to involve public money, can't he make an album out of his own money, Sell the audio rights to big companies like Sony.
  When Rahman did Vande mataram he was backed by Bala and Kanika and later Sony got the rights for a huge price. Vande mataram was also an International project, its album was relesed in 26 countries.
  
  Isn't Mr.Illayaraja not sure about the quality of his output that he's worried he may not recover production costs of the album?
  May be they music company MD's knew his last product from Hungary was an ordinary thing like "Ramar analum Babbar Analum" so they didn't want to get involved in inception stages.
  
  It is strange when he can produce movies why cant he produce his own album? Or atleast co-produce it with Tamil maiyam?
  It's a novel thought to open a school of music but if the album doesn't sell well then how come he's going to generate the funds.
  There are only 47 donors in the list, why are his dear buddies name Kamal hassan and Bharatiraja missing on the list.
  
  Since the album is going to be produced in Hindi,English, Tamil and German, why has Mr.Illayaraja got to worry about the Sales? if he's sure he's gonna make something wonderful.
  Its very clear he wants minimum risk and he doesnt want to play with his own money.
  Is this a new way of doing business?
  
  Okay lets predict they are making some profits, will the website put its revenues from all sources like Concerts, Audio sales, Rights etc.
  They haven't mentioned anything about it, But why? If its a public project every single data has to be revealed.
  So we really will not know Whats Mr.Illayaraja's Salary from the profits.
  Whats excatly the financial role played by Tamil maiyam? are they going to have exclusive rights over the content or is it going to be shared by both Illayaraja and them, in any case Is Mr.Illayaraja paid an astromical salary from profits? or they are just paying the artists in hungary and Illayaraja is paid nothing.
  Wouldn't any man who wants to contribute to this project or the so called Open project know all these facts!
  
  My inference is - his dream would be accompolished - Making Thiruvasakam in Symphony, his personal monetary contribution is Zero, He has a chance to make profits, which will then be reused as funds for his music school.
  
  Risk Factor to Mr.Illayaraja - Zero.
  Profits - Yes.
  Laurels - Yes from making such projects and re-investing it in a school.
  Jeez, I haven't heard a better business venture than this in recent times!

  The thing is,ur comparing a musician between a looooooooooooong timing GAP!does Beethoven composed any music when BS is around??but the situation is diff here,both (IR & ARR)compose the same time,ARR wins the race ,same timing,same technology..whats ur comment now?

  with this analogy in mind ARR will never become a Mozart. May be some deaf people who cajole people who are successful for a brief moment will think or say ARR is Mozart.

  Quality Guys that is what makes music interesting, and a listening pleasure, most of the ppl around the world, just listen and find peace without knowing who the composer is.. if it makes them move, then we can call the person a Quality musician. Mostly Music (songs) with lyrics dont stand for the test time other than ppl who know and understand the lyrics, thats where all the symphonies stood test of time. ARR as he is one of the good musicians has not achieved that universal music level. Dont talk about BOYZ sales, or Vandemataram or ne indian stuff bought by Desi's all around the world. just as Indians, we hear to Beethoven and talk abt it. why have we thought sincerely in that regard.. now stop the BS about who is better and see which will stand the test of time
