Udhaya, the song is "maalai vELai rathi maaran poojai". MD for BrammachaarigaL - MSV. A good song by SPB for TR Papa is "iraivan endroru kavignan avan padaiththa kavithai manithan" . MS add-appa intha paatta kooda.

Thanks for clarifying. The movie may not be Brammachaarigal but the song I mentioned is definitely MDed by TRP and sung by SPB.

Has anybody listened to songs from
"Neerum Neruppum", a MGR starrer ? All songs were sung by SPB (composed by MSV) and this should be the only movie without any song making it big.

Udhaya I think there is only one solo in 'samandhipoo'-'aagayam boomi endru ondraa'
and it was sung by MV himself

There's a SPB duet in sAmandhippoo (though I don't remember the lines), I think with SPS...

But 100% sure SPB sang in MV's music!

un kaathodu kathodu seithi sonnal enna kanmaniye is from Nijangal, if that's the song you were talking about, Udhaya.

In the only movcie MD-d by Malaysia, SPB sang a song that goes: Kasturi maane kolli malai thene

Thanks for your input. Yes, "Nijangal" is the movie with the T.R.Paappa/SPB song.

Saamandhippoo is the Malaysia Vasudevan MDed movie. Wow, someone remembered all this!

some more questions:

-did "Uzhavan Magan", "Sendhoorappoovae", and "Chinnap Poovae Mellap Paesu" come out pre-85? If any of them did, there are several SPB songs in these films.

-possible non-IR movies with SPB?

Can we compile a list of SPB(1960,1970) songs with this whole list and also the link which contain the songs. All those songs are so nice and it would be really nice if we can see the list and click to listen.

'unnai padathathum brahman oru...' is from 'nee sirithal naan sirippen'. all the songs from this film are CLASSICS... believe me pleeeez they are just clasics. i have not seen this 1979/80 film and would love to know how big a hit this was. am i the only one who has this cassette music tape and who acted in this film.
