  For ARR Fans like me, it is as severe as Kauveri Neer problem, it's the one album which ARR has given 10/10. Dont u want to hear it KL?
  Are u really an ARR Fan?

  India's own maven of music invaded London's West End with the score for Bombay Dreams, the Andrew Lloyd Webber musical. It became a smash hit thanks to Bollywood kitsch and Rahman's jivy masala mix. The 36-year-old musicmaker, who shot into the limelight with his reggae-driven songs and music for Mani Ratnam's Roja, has sold more than 40 million albums to date.   Kolkata, Jan 9: Music wizard A R Rahman, who has taken the western world by storm with live performances, will make his debut under home arc lights with a series of concerts beginning here February 1.
  
  
  With the who’s who of Indian playback joining him at the ‘Unity of Light’, 10-concert tour, Rahman would enthrall fans across the country and then fly off to charm audiences in the Middle-East, US and Canada.
  
  
  S P Balasubramanium, Sonu Nigam, Udit Narayan, Hariharan, Shankar Mahadevan, Sukhwinder Singh, Sadhna Sargam, Vasundhara Das and Mahalaxmi Iyer would belt out a medley of film songs composed by Rahman, who would be at the keyboards.
  
  
  "Events over the last two years across the world have stirred me from within to plan a concert with harmony as the underlying theme. And I am happy I have been able to plan this now,” Rahman told a news conference here today.
  
  
  The composer, whose hit scores in ‘Roja’, ‘Bombay’, ‘Taal’ and ‘Lagaan’ have been on top of music charts for long, would also sing numbers from popular films and Andrew Lloyd Weber production, ‘Bombay Dreams’.
  
  
  And he would also have something for the home crowd of Kolkata.

  False hype or not, it sure has worked in favour of Indian music.
  
  Bombay Dreams has been included in the next semester's music/drama paper:
  MUSI/THEA 306:Space,Light and Text.
  At Victoria University of Wellington.
  The paper will be taught by Jack Body.
  
  Also under Ethnomusicolgy the
  Indian music paper for the first time is including
  music from the south. Upto now the course only covered Hindustani, carnatic and popular music (bollywood numbers), this year the course will consist of examples and assignments from South
  including A.R.Rahman.
  
  I never got the chance to see Bombay Dreams when I was visitng London, it was pretty much booked out most of the nights that I was there.
