pavathaarini/NeetyaShree whos the best??

I see many people praise neethyashree but how much shes better compared to pavathaarini?Pavathaarini has the most innocent,fresh voice among the newsingers today, whereas neethyashree know only to shout. Listen to 'kadal meethu' or 'kanmaneekku vaaltu chollum', pavathaarini is excellent.
Please let me know your opinions

  THis subject itself is ironical. How can u compare first of all a great carnatic artiste and a so ordinary playbacksinger (that too came to limelight because of influence).

  Well let's put it this way
  
  Nityashree is an established singer. She doesn't need TFM to attain fame. She has had opportunities to show her talent.
  
  I think Bhavatharani is trapped inside this cage because her father and brothers are also MD's. So if she sang for others, people will critize that and if she sang for only her family, people will also critize that. But if she builds up her musical knowledge, I think that she will come out successfully in the end.
  
  Although I don't really like any of her film songs till date, I was mesmerized by a song she sang in praise of 'ramani munivar'. It's a haunting song and I gotta tell you, I was totally mesmerized.

  I think Bhavadhaarini (is there another singer called "paavadhaarini"?) is the best playback singer ever, except for certain minor deficiencies.
  
  1. Her sruthi is not consistent.
  2. Her voice has pisuru at rndom.
  3. Her expression or absence thereof is very consistent.
  4. She would'nt even be a chorus singer if she was not IR's daughter.
  5. She has spoiled many good songs of IR, and for IR to use her continuously it is 'vinaasha kaalEy vipareetha budhdhi'.
  
  Apart from all of this, she is also the favorite of Raja Fan, whose tastes I want to keep track - to know what/whom to avoid, like Bhavadhaarini avoids good singing.

  even the first line. She's gasping to finish even one line. No flow at all. I wonder why people trouble both TFM and these singers by making them sing in movies.
  
  Now that ARR has used her in his songs and so has YSK, our Deva will follow suit. Look at the volume of his films, I'm happy I'm in the US.

  NithyaShree definetly struggled to sing Poova Poova in PVK. She can be termed as an average singer with a long way to go in playback singing.

  Nithyashree has some flaws. But, in no way can Bavatharini be even compared with her. I too agree with RajaG's comments. IMO, Bavatharini's only strength is she is daughter of the maestro.

  I cannot control my laughter after reading RajaG's posting on Bhava. Absolutely true.
  
  It is just atrocious to compare these two. It is also quite true that Nithyashree does not control her voice, shouts now and then, most importantly, is unable to complete one phrase and has taken lots of pauses in that Poova poova song. Still, she is infinite times better than Bhava.

  How about Harini(my fav) or Anuratha Sriram.

  Come on guys all of you are critizing Bava, Comparing the background of Nithyasree a pure classical singer and Bava is not matured yet as a frontline singer,still I think Bava has done nice work in more than couple of songs atleast. I like the following songs

  If inspite of bhavadharini, the songs you have mentioned are good, imagine how better they'd be if Harini/Anu Sriram/Swarnalatha sung them!!

  Though I don't have any specific positive point or quality attribute to Bhava's singing , overall I like some of the songs sung by her just because of her different and unique voice. I also see lots of improvement in her singing compared to her first song "Mastana Mastana" as she used to have very childish voice on that song. I likey very much "Sangeedha thiruNallo" from KM where she fits in very much more than Harini/Anu Sriram/Swarnalatha.Some minor positive points also I can think of in her singing is how ever high pitch she sings she maintains her voice I mean "She is not having Keechu koral" at high pitch. Her pronounciation is also very good.

  TFM is not a field for practice. We need experts here. It's a crime if Bhava gets a song which out to have gone to Chitra.
  
  IMHO all TFM needs is just 4-5 singers.
  
  Chitra, SJ and Sujatha are the female singers.
  
  SPB, Mano and KJY ( if not, MGS).

  Suresh, for the minor positive points you mentioned, anyone singing in TV-shows or music orchestras would fit the bill. The sole qualification of Bhava is that shes daughter of maestro and nothing else. There are so many better singers (have you seen the program Colgate Saptha Swarangal in Sun TV?) who havent been lucky to get an opportunity and Bhava is definitely not better than many of them.

  2. The first singer's name is given in lower case
  while the second singer's name is given with two
  caps. That gives an idea of vyaas's choice.

  Leaving jokes aside, my vote is for BavadhaariNi.

  one of my favourites. voice konjam bland-aaga
  irundhaalum there is some attraction in her voice.
  Nityashree's voice in that padayappa song was
  pretty bad, I thought. By any chance, does the movie
  situation demand such a singing? Someone who has seen
  the movie, please clarify. Has she sung any other
  song apart from this and kaNNOdu kaaNbadhellaam?

  SK - Nithyasri has sung pretty well for Yuvan Shankar Raja in Poovellaam Kettupaar. The song is Poova poova poova poovey X 4 .... Poovey unnai nesiththien.
