  Which audio company would spend so much on hiring RPO and recording the work and then keep it in the cupboard for a decade? It is obvious it is not the case.
  
  More over we have John Scott answering a questioner in his web site on why Raja has not released his symphony saying "he was hurt by a critic's comment and that is the reason he has not released it".
  
  So instead of the new ideas like release the BGM work as CD and give it to people who donate to this new project, you can as well consider releasing the RPO work; at least that may start giving you some return, even if it is going to be a trickle.
  
  But then the problem is as his dynamic mood changes so fast, the people around IR trying to do this or that also change.
  
  From the gang that did the RPO project to the team that volunteered to Raajangham project to the present TiS team......full of volunteers with a lot of enthu but it can not be sustained for a long time. After all volunteers have their own lives to take care to and how long you can do this kind of public work even if you love some one so much?
  
  Volunteers can do only so much. But the man should have a permanent set of people to take care of things. People who are professionals and not given to the vagaries of this man's moods. Then if such a committed team is involved then channelising the energies of the volunteers will produce positive results.
  
  But so long as this man deals with things directly then there is always the risk of his interest waning out. His past track record has not been very encouraging either.
  
  As I happen to know some of the people who made his RPO project a reality (not surprisingly they are out of his circle now) I say this with first hand knowledge. So don't jump on me as an intruder trying to spoil a party.
  
  Look at it objectively.

  Why the great composer of our time IR is being sold in finance company concept.
  When there are lot of good avenues to bring TIS release why this route of collecting money from public...? I wonder how people who are in USA got this kind of unprofessional idea to launch an album.
  why IR being marketed so badly among the fans.
  I think IR is given with wrong ideas by few enthusiastic fans and not by all fans.
  I strongly condemn comments by few here about all FANS of IR.
  Most of the IR fans are only worried about the way the product is being marketed.

  kalyan's mail has a lot of substance and reality in it. right now what we see is the project getting delayed. any delay is going to be frustrating, even for the hardcore fans. hope someone in tamilmayam takes kalyan's mail seriously and think of alternative sources of funding.

  We think there is a definite difference between 'Launching', 'Producing' and 'Marketing' a product!
  We are only creating an awareness to 'LAUNCH' the idea of TiS!
  The other two are by IIR and Tamil Maiyam respectively!!

  Does any donation to 'TIS' US group necessarily be tax exempt. I would like to know whether 'TIS fund raisers' act as non profit org or kind of legal entity in USA. If both of these questions are non applicable then should donation be made to indian entity.
  
  I don't know nothing about Tamil language or Thiruvasakam but I feel it's a good cause if only IR is involved.If needed , I can provide marketing ideas or help.

  I have been watching this forum for a while, finally I thought I will also break my silence to answer
  some of them who are testing the integrity of this project.
  
  a) How do we justify this project?
  As it was mentioned by our dear Ilayaraja, this is tiny effort from his side for the world peace.
  b) How this could be a for world peace?
  Many of us believe spreading spiritual harmony will lead to world peace, Raja also believes in that. For people who do not know THIRUVASAGAM is “Spiritual Stuff”, hope you know now.
  c) How this can be for world?
  That is why this project comes in different language.
  d) For the people, who does not believe that this is for world peace can at-least think that this is an effort to spread TAMIL and its spiritual literature. As per the recent survey TAMIL is one among the 50 languages that will go out of practice in 50years.
  e) Of course there are people who believe in Raja and his contribution to the TAMIL / TAMIL music world/ South Indian music world, can simply think that this what we are going to do in return to what he has provided us for the past 25years.
  f) I see lot of people questioning about the public funding of this project. To clarify this project is not funded by public, it is funded by public who are Raja’s fan. If we wanted
  Public funding, we could have run ad every where and completed this project by now. But IR and we strongly feel that the contribution should come only from people who understand and trust this project is worth their contribution.
  g) Most of all, this project is for Lord Siva, of course for those who thinks GOD still exists.
  
  For those who asked question of the reliability of public funding, my question to them is , When you go to temple and donate money, do you ask the same questions to the Management or to the Lord. This project is also for GOD only.
  I am sure if you would have asked these same questions as a TAX payer, we would have seen better Chief Minister long before.
  This not you are paying money to a Chit Fund and we return you with interest. This is donation which is you contribute with no expectation but only with the believe that this for good cause.
  
  By the way these kinds of questions make us believe in this project more and give us better interest to bring out this project as Big Success.

  Actually the word typed in the second line after 'our' was [or at least thought to be typed!] was 'Efforts' but we have no clue as to how it became "friends'! Even that makes sense!!
