Remember the Music Director trio Shankar-Ehsaan-Loy, the music directors of Kamal Hassan's Alavandhaan. They seem to be missing in the Tamil scene for the last 2 years and they are doing really good in the Hindi field. They have given solid musical hits in Hindi such as; Mission Kashmir, Dil Chahtha Hai. I think they can be brought to the Tamil films again. I feel they are definitely better than Deva and a few others. I think they are the best as far as Hindi Film Music goes after A R Rahman.
I would like healthy comments who listen to Shankar-Ehsaan-Loy and have a fair knowledge of Hindi Film Industry.

Dear V
My previous post is in respect of true SEL lovers like SELRocks. I wont repeat that post abt Shankar 11th time for a sick person like you, who do not want peace. I am neither exposed, nor I feel resmorseful. I have my own opinion. I liked MUSIC of Armaan, I expressed it streight in my post for Mr. Ehsaan. You keep counting who has posted what, how many times.
I am just TRYING to respect music, artist and music lovers. Just look at yourself... you have not posted a single meaningful msg. I glad that now the genuine members of forum know what kinda SICK person you are. You have exposed yourself dude! I have already posted a msg for Mr. Ehsaan.
I have exposed your location, ISP etc. I am capable to create more mess but wont do it... EVEN IF YOU PROVOKE ME TO DO SO!
Good night

Even I can look up thousands of free WHOIS databases available on the internet to reveal your identity with ur IP address.
I am not that tired and frustrated "yet".
What is quizzical to me is that you have never bothered to seek an apology for your misdeeds and you are still posting like what you did was absolutely warranted.
To those who think I am fighting, dont you think some people should be brought to terms??

Bruce Willis: I have exposed your location, ISP etc. I am capable to create more mess but wont do it... EVEN IF YOU PROVOKE ME TO DO SO!
Hmmmm
You cannot do it because a WHOIS database does not give any more details than location of an IP address.
SO stuff up your empty threats!!I am a S/W professional myself

Hi Eshaan!
I've was stressed out in the last few weeks! So I wasn't able to stay tuned!
But as I can see, there were a lot of other guys insisting to repeat their opinion :-)
Yeah, I guess don't have to say 'bout KHNH, except I LIKE IT!
I must say, after our dicussion about the lifting songs and buying rights- thing, that it was a pleasant surprise to hear that Karan Johar bought the rights for pretty woman :-)
The only critic there, is the way Shankar sings "Pretty Woman" in the song. He is laying to much weight in the A! But that's the only negative point i found in this superduper cover version of the song :-D

Oh please Ehsaan! apart from the wonderful music you have created/performed/shared/enjoyed one other major achievement which indirectly goes to your credit is a commitment from the esteemed Swapan,Birmingham that he will not share his wisdom with us anymore. Oh! whatever you do or abstain from doing (and that includes not looking for or responding to his letters) - please let us enjoy this temporary peace of Swapan,Birmingham's absence (until, like Ravana's head, the next know-it-all creeps up) :-)

Swapan seems to be very emotional. He wrote a letter for you earlier. It seems all Kumar Sanu are emotional in heart. No wonder Kumar Sanu sings emotional songs and romantic songs really good. Now I dont know whether you should reply or not but looking the wish of several music lovers here try at least once a SEL+Kumar Sanu combo.
Other singer lovers dont be afraid of the competetion please.

Dear ME
Shankar-Ehsaan-Loy are modern (cyber-age) monkey's of Gandhi Ji, They are as follows:
1st Monkey - SHANKAR MAHADEVAN
Doesn't know to sing anything except their own music. Known to be a technical (?) singer (??) with shouting voice and weired south indian accents.
2nd Monkey - EHSAAN
Doesn't listen anything except praises and questions of his idiotic fans and Shankar's voice.
3rd Monkey - LOY
Doesn't speak anything. Known to be a good guitarist and sound engineer.
Hope it will help you

Me,
Here is a better version than what BW gave you.
In my opinion they are collectively good musicians, gave good songs, and a scored neat bgm's.. I have not heard their Naya padosan or initial movie, but they have been doing a excellent job in recent movies. esp dil chahtha hai, Abhay(Aalavandhan ->tamil) 2. Kuch na kaho 3. Armaan

Blockbuster after Blockbuster. When one thinks of films made by Karan Johar the word 'blockbuster' naturally comes to mind. After all, Dharma Productions' last two films made history in indian cinema. So when KAL HO NAA HO was announced, expectations understandably sky-rocketed. With Shah Rukh Khan, Preity Zinta and Saif Ali Khan heading the starcast, one can understand the unbelievable expectations masses have from this film.
This time however, it is his associate director Nikhil Advani's first chance at taking the main director's chair, while Karan supports and produces the film. Joining him is the trio Shankar-Ehsaan-Loy with Javed Akhtar taking the lyrics, quite a change from the normal Jatin-Lalit. Truly SEL's most awaited soundtrack to date since Dil Chahta Hai. Will the trio do justice to the blockbuster expectations placed on this album?
If one judges the album by KAL HO NAA HO, the title song, one can expect simply nothing less than a classic soundtrack. The one song that makes the entire album worth a buy is this one folks! Sonu Nigam beautifully renders the song, doing full justice to Javed Akhtar's brilliant poetic lyrics. Sonu and Javed's award nomination for this song is a given. Whats even better is that Shankar-Ehsaan-Loy have broken out of their Dil Chahta Hai spell, and give a soulful feel to the entire song. This song is easily the best of the soundtrack and my favorite song of 2003. Brilliant!
Rating: A+
Sonu returns to team up with Udit Narayan, Alka Yagnik and Shankar Mahadevan to render MAAHI VE. The only downfall of the song is simply that it follows a classic like the title song, and understandably falls short. Those in a party mood however will lap up this song and easily make this song very popular. The bhangra feel to the song, as well as the upbeat renditions will make this song popular. Udit Narayan is reduced to a short appearance in the song, while Sonu Nigam and Shankar Mahadevan steal the show in this song. Alka sounds out of place however. Lyrics are nothing to write home about, but still a great and upbeat number by SEL!
Rating: B+
ITS THE TIME TO DISCO is one of the most innovative songs of the album. Vasundhara Das, K.K., Shaan and Loy Mendonsa do a tremendous job of rendering their parts. The best part of the song is Shankar-Ehsaan-Loy's efforts to re-create 70s type of disco music, and have definitely succeeded at that! While the title of the song may turn some people off, it will definitely be a visual treat to watch on screen, with Shahrukh, Saif and Preity all getting down. Overall, a great listen!
Rating: A-
Shaan returns to the album for KUCH TO HUA HAI along with Alka Yagnik. The song, for the most part, is a formulaic romantic number. But to SEL's credit, they have successfully given a new background and instrumental feel to the song, which makes for a sweet and nice listen. Shaan and Alka complement each other perfectly, while Javed Akhtar's lyrics are sweet and romantic. The best part of the song however is once again Shankar, Ehsaan and Loy, who give the romantic song a new lease of life. Beautiful song!
Rating: B+
Alka Yagnik renders the KAL HO NAA HO (SAD) version with supporting help from Richa Sharma and Sonu Nigam. The song will seemingly happen in a climactic point in the movie. The song, from the onset, belongs to Alka Yagnik and her powerhouse rendition. She makes an impression with this song and truly does a commendable job with her rendition. Richa Sharma and Sonu Nigam also leave a mark with their renditions in the song. The wedding instruments and overall background instrumentation in the song are brilliant by Shankar-Ehsaan-Loy. The song's effect is simply overpowering, and will make for a very emotional moment on screen.
Rating: A
Shankar Mahadevan and Ravi "Rags" Khote change the pace very quickly for PRETTY WOMAN a number that is sure to be picturized on Saif Ali Khan. The bhangra rhythms of the song complement Shankar's uplifted rendition. The electric guitar and drum beats go well together, to make for a melodious and great listen. The english lyrics seem to be out of place, but overall, the song will seemingly make for a much better picturization once seen on screen. Worth a listen!
Rating: A-
The last track on the soundtrack is HEARTBEAT, an instrumental track. This includes the music which we've heard in the first trailor of the film. It is a great track to bring the album to a close.
Without a doubt, Shankar-Ehsaan-Loy have another gem of a soundtrack after Dil Chahta Hai. The songs continue the streak of Karan Johar's thread of blockbuster albums. To Nikhil Advani's credit, he has brought out the best in Shankar-Ehsaan-Loy and has come up with a soundtrack that can truly only get better with each listen.
The soundtrack will be among the best musical pieces of the year. Be it the tour-de-force of the soundtrack, the title song, the bhangra songs, the poetry of Javed Akhtar, or the great instrumentation by the composers, this soundtrack is a winner. It's a must buy for music lovers!
