As far as Tamil Films go:

There are currently 3 schools of composers, one is the legacy, traditional and pure classical feel of Subbiah Naidu, GR, etc.. taken to the ultimate level by MSV

Then, you have the creative, combining more of orchestral based type structured tunes with Indian classical and folk group of composers as taken off by V Kumar, Sankar Ganesh, Salil Chowdhry and brought to wildest levels of imagination by IR;

then, you have the new age pop strcuctures more based on Limerick style of composing that "began" with Rahman. That group consists of most young composers, with the exception of Karthik Raaja, who is definitely more classical yet redifining Rahman.

In these 3 classes of composers, there are many composers, who are less prolific, perhaps less diverse or experimental, but each one has contributed tremendously beautiful compositions.

As far as I go, I want composers to be in the people' minds by dedicating their careers to music and giving their original best. After all, music is divine and it takes time for any composer to find recognition, but i pity that the public or producers go to instantly judge composers and end their beautiful careers because one or two composers hold the sway of the masses. That is the tragedy of this ranking business, and we have seen many talented composers like Chandro Bose, Sankar-Ganesh, Sivaji Raja, even Karthik Raaja neglected.

If you produced good music, you get to get several chances, but you copy and create only noise, then why are u given several chances? I don't understand that pehomeonon.
