Sevvaanathil oru natchathiram... it was great duet by TMS & PS from Nangu Killadigal. In 1995, there was a Gangai Amaran's prog, in which PS sang. Jai also came as a guest. In front of Jai, PS sung that song. Jai was overwhelmed..

Jai introduced that "hai" in TF... jolly mann..

1. Ival oru pachai kuzhandhai song sung by SPB+PS combo not SJ
2. Lakshmi Vandaal... song from PaNam PeN Paasam acted by Muthuraman in the lead role. Song by SPB+Sailaja (Humming only). Am not sure who acted in that song scene.

One from Nootrukku Nooru, sung by TMS, "Nitham nitham oru putham puthiya sugam naan thedinen..". It was so youthful and Jai acted very casully in that song seq. Film (by KB) was superb and Jai's action was at peak.

OSIG, Yes that "KaNNanin sanndiyil" song by Jayachandran and Susheela was terrific. Adhvum PS paadum bodhu, uchhathukku povaanga. I really enjoy whenever I hear that song.

BTW, was MSV the MD for that?

There is another MGR Like title song in the movie "Sabash Thambi"...no wonder MGR is said to have turned green with envy at Jai. Their relationship was never a smooth one, and no wonder it was left to Mu Ka to give Kalaimamani to Jai.

Nee Ennanna Sonnaalum Kavithai - aaha what a feeling to sing a complex and melodious tune as this one. Very reminiscent of the 70s. Is this a Jai song, it seems more like a Sivaji no.

i have 3 vcd's of jaisnaker hits and a few of his old BW films. an interesting film hit from 1974/5 ? called 'pon vandu' has to be a brilliant duet with jayachithra and the song goes 'pani malaro'. as part of my film tour of tamil nadu i actually went to see someone who worked for jaisankar. he told me some interesting stories and was gobsmacked that a fan from UK existed!! the thing good abt jaisankar was that when he got to that age he smoothly moved into character and father roles without no ego problems.
also try the songs from '4 suvarukal'.

Makkal Kalaignar Jaishankar carved a niche for himself in the 60's despite the presnce of MGR, Sivaji and Gemini. "andha sivakaami maganidam sedhi solladi" from pattanathhil bootham is one of the best songs. Unfortunately, though listed on Dhool.com, the song does not play., could someone upload another version or tell me where i can get this please.
