Ajay Devgan and Vivek Oberoi can’t stop raving about the songs of Mani Ratnam’s Yuva. “A.R. Rahman and Mani Sir and dynamite together,” says Vivek on the sets of Indra Kumar and Ashok Thakeria’s Masti, and adds, “The six songs Rahman has recorded for the film are mind-blowing.”

Ajay Devgan, his co-star in Yuva and Masti, uses the same words to describe them. Incidentally, when the film was launched earlier this year, Mani Ratnam had decided not to have a single song in it.

Vivek also feels that Abhishek Bachchan’s is the best role and best performance in the film. “That guy’s career will take off in a big way after Yuva,” predicts Vivek.

  Lets talk about food, books, departmental stores and shopping here till the album releases :) I've seen quite a bit of malls in Blr/Chn where they don't quite stock enough of everything, it cant be called as a mall in the first place.

  a good colelction of books can be frm landmark chennai.higginbothams giv a competition but landmark excells in the variety and collection. we can always try new booklands at t.nagar for decent tamil books and magazines. but for me the book exhibition held at queen amrys colelge every year is the best place to browse.

  Most Higginbothams dont have the rare books, same with Landmark. If you can get a book from HB/LM, most likely u might get with any decent enough store - thats been my exp.

  the book expo takes place in january every year for ten days. most probably it starts around 5th and ends with kaanum pongal. the schedule may change but it happens in jan. as far old books/comics r concerned u can look for near the central station. there r many shops at the bazaar over there. can u name some books which u wud like to hav so that i can suggest u the rgt place.

  RS, i'm looking for second hand books particularly sports biographies/autobios and esp novels such as RK Narayan's lesser known ones(I have brand new copies of most of the well known books - but nowadays sports publications dont come for less than Rs.150 and really terrible ones too, simply not worth it!! RKN's Golden Thought Publications bring out his books but even they're steadily hiking the rates by 10-20Rs every year, now each book of his has gone to Rs.80...I've most of his novels and looking for those not published by GTP).
  The Old Favorites comics would be welcome but nowhere in India is an old Tintin available for less than Rs.150, no chance at all!!
  Also looking for English version of T.Sivasankara Pillai's Chemmeen but in a less offensive cover :-))

  Do they have a Crossword store in Chennai? they give some excellent discounts periodically - not long back I got a sparkling NEW copy of Sherlock Holmes Complete Works for Rs.100 which was really worth it!!!

  I think they have one. If you had seen the mvoie "Jay Jay", Madhavan meets Amoga the first time at Crossword. yennamo JJ nnu oru book vaanga Amoga vanthu irupaangalaam.   Talking about Rs.100 books, I suggest you try the sparkling NEW copy of Shakeela Complete Works (2003 special annual edition) which is really worth it!!! and lotsa grpahical illustrations irukku book la. paperback edition for Rs.100. if you want the original edition ( i think it costs around $45) contact Ferrari.
