  Guess Me?! You should be Gas Me! i think. What nonsense are you talking, IR has done a fantastic job with Virumandi, you fooool. Artists like Kamal always knows who is the best. Only for outside productions, he compromises on MD. For his own production, he knows IR is the best, till today.

  On the other thread when ARR offered LOTR after BD and WOHE ...u said it's all flop....
  
  but for IR's case it's diff....

  IR always is consistent...its the directors who are spoiling or not utilising well....actually KAMAL dint ustilise IRS tune well.........
  
  MISTAKE 1....first song he cut half...

  MANDI ...Terrbible picturisatin
  killing the song
  MISTAKE 3....SANDIYARE SANDIYARE.....Used as background and killed the song again....

  Each and every sound in IR Music has something conveying...so each n every sound should be ustilised in picturisation....and also the photography should be scenic.......for IR songs
  
  anyway , observe keenly the way the JEEP SONG in KAAKA KAAKA....every sound was utilised....That could be a good case study for others to learn picturisation......not wasting any sounds........

  Guess Me, Actually Virumandi is one of the movies which has couple of good songs from IR. But the blame goes to Kamal - who screvved up the whole movie - Kamal should stop making his own movies (direction) and concentrate in acting.

  I dont know what you guys mean by saying "IR has done a fantastic job with Virumandi". If only the songs were better, the movie would have been a bigger success.
  
  Personally I feel IR's malayalam movie Manasinakkare has better songs than Virumandi.

  IR fans felt hurt when I said a moderately good album "Virumandi" is a flop. Then what do you suppose ARR fans will feel when you people argue that albums like Boys, KKS, AE, New etc.. are flop?

  Movies Success or Failure does not just depend on the MD, in fact it depends on many ingredients like the Story, Screen Play, Directions, BGM, songs, actors, actresses, cameraman, Lights man, Makeup artist, Costume Designer, Choreographer, Stunts man, .....
  
  It is called TEAM WORK, heard of it??
  
  It is so easy to point a Finger at some one for the failure of the film, the whole team should be blamed for the failure and the whole team should be applauded for the success.

  I am puzzled by Kamal: Last year he celebrated his 50th birthday, this year also he has become 50 yrs, so is he a phenomenon? never seem to go beyond 50? You mean to say he was in Sigappu Rojakkal at age 24? (1978) he looked 30 then. 30+26=56 years.
  
  Kamal Haasan should be now 56 years! on a conservative estimate atleast 53 years.

  I think Kamal is very lucky to have IR working with him (and we are lucky to have both of them as contemporaries). The other day I was listening to Bharati and Virumaandi, superb songs and great orchestrization. They really feel so close to the heart. I think very few people can actually tell the story in the songs and music as IR does. And Kamal (and so many others over years) is getting Hollywood (or the best possible) quality music for peanuts.
  
  And, of course the most intelligent poster, aka Guess Me, has already graced us with his opinions, which happen to be the final verdict. Man..was there any sense to what you posted ? I think people like you will never be able respect artists for their talents and will always be blinded by the fanaticism of your idols.
