  in this DF, it is very easy to respond to some subject and discuss. but it is turning out to be quite difficult to initiate a good discussion, on the subject of our choice.
  so a typical DFer pudhu_paiyan comes in with a lot of enthu and posts a query:
  
  title: the golden age.
  
  In this thread, I would like to talk about the era after MKT and before TMS.
  
  (thinking to himself, "i am sure no one has even thought about it, let's have a good discussion").

  please look up in the archives. there is a thread called "TFM between MKT and TMS", discussed in 1995.
  
  (pudhu_paiyan is aghast. "idhaiyum discuss panniyaachaa???". so does a face saving posting.
  
  pudhu_paiyan: what i want to discuss is subtly different from what the previous thread had. i would like to discuss about the change in the society and music in this era.i would like to discuss how their voices shaped the thinking of the people in their times.
  (thinking, "now i have them. no one would have discussed this").
  
  a day goes by and no one touches this thread. then, comes the all too familiar posting:
  ravi: please post this in the forum hub. the impact of music on society can be discussed there.

  once a day in the second week, once in two days in the third week....and still there is no response.
  like this, 2 months go on and then, pudhu_paiyan finds a new posting in this thread!!!!
