I did visit the site & posted my usual query - where do I get a live recording of SPB . One option there was 'mail SPB' which I did. But if he sat & bothered to reply to emails, i don't suppose he would have sung 40000 songs.

Have u heard the songs of 'Ninaivelam Nitya' ?
Amazing ones.

My current (re run) favourites are ' Konji Konji' in Veera & "Unnai nan Parthadu" in Pattikatu Raaja.

SPB is the greatest singer that India had ever produced, agreed, but India had also produced other gems, (even though they are no match for SPBji)like BMK, KJY, Ghantasala, M.rafi, Kishore, Lata, Asha, Susheela, Janaki, vani, PBS, AMR!

SPB should carefully chose his songs to maintain his prestigous Image!

I am not a Tamilian, I am from Lahore, in Pakistan.
I used to be Hardcore Rafi fan,I was always thought that Rafi was the don in playback singing, Until I have heard the awsome voice of S.P.Balasapramanyum(pardon my spelling, such a long name man), this guy is simply amazing, the depth of his voice will suit Amitabh very well, yet SPB was not utilised properly in the north,yes I agree, I think North Indians are racists towards the south Indian.

By The way, has SPB ever sung any punjabhi song??

Haven't u said this atleast 100 trillion times before?? And this is nowhere related to the topic. The topic is the contribution of SPB and KJY to devotional music. Instead of discussing their individual contributions, you are again only comparing the two. For the 100 trillionth time??

Please atleast state some objective reasons (on some other thread - maybe "SPB is greatest singer ever in the Universe" thread )before making such a sweeping statement over and over and over again for MONTHS on end!! and that too on atleast 1000 threads?

And mind you - dont repeat that sick funda of heavy bass and manly voice and expressions and blah blah blah. Those are all extremely subjective things. Millions find these in many male singers other than SPB too.

No man, I never constantly run down others, I have my due respect 4 KJY, Rafi, BMK, Ghantasala, PBS,AMR, PS, SJ, Lata, Asha, Vani, ..etc.

but certainly not for Hariharan (too nasal, sings every single song with the the same style), Sonu Nigam, Unni Krishnan( Feminine voice), Kumar sanu & Udit narayan greatest ever nasal singers, in the universe!!!
