  I think one of SPB's best numbers is 'Konji Konji..' from Veera.

  No Srinath,Konji Konji is really later in his songs but initially it was songs like Vizhiyile from Bhuvana oru Kelvikuri. Theeratha vilayatu pillai from Netrikkan. Chinna pura ondru from Anbe sangeetha is really a masterpiece. SPB is a GENIUS par excellance. Duets by SPB and SJ are still lingering in our ears. Ayiram thamarai and Pothivecha malligai mottu are classics.
  
  BY the way MR Prakash I will try to correct some of the films that you have mentioned Ilamai ennum Poongatru is from Pagalil oru Iravu. Oru naal onodu oru naal is from Uravadum Nenjangal.Your list is fabulous. But you forgot to mention Vandanam en Vandanam from Vazhve mayam. Hope you do not mind my corrections.

  because in my opinion the ten songs which i have listed here ranks much above the songs of other MD's u have mentioned.not that they are not good songs but its just that they cannot be in the top10.they can be perhaps in the top 50 or so.

  I did not mean to point something if I do I am sorry.. I think anjali anjali is one of SPB's best, in terms of singing, hitting high notes, and also this song brings the sweetness in his voice better than few songs mentioned in your list.
  The songs en kanmani, pani villum, thene then pandi wont even make in to my list, just showing, may be, how bad I am in recongising good songs.

  Hi,
  Way back in 1979, (When I was in 6th std), I had chance to see SPB live in University Auditorium, Madras -
  Till today SPB has the same emotion, feel, lusture in his voice. He gives equal importance to all the songs he sings. He makes a poor song to sound good (many deva songs).
  The famous SPB laugh ! , the laugh he does in a song..no singer can do this. If SPB laughs in a song, the song is sure to be a hit. (Told by Gangai Ameran).
  Besides being the best singer, he is also a very cheerful person. An Actor, A producer, A music director,...I wonder what not this man could do ...where he finds time, for a person of this calibre there is no 1% of ego. Man! he the real genius in the TFM...
