  aruviiiiiiiiiiiiiiiii, pudhaiyal is a very old Tamil movie starring Sivaji and Padmini with one of the evergreen numbers - "ViNNOdum MugilOdum" by C S Jayaraman and P Suseela.

  i have never listened to thanga mOhana or chinna chinna before. I figured the movie name from your clue 'treasure' . In fact it struck me at once when i saw your quiz. But i desisted from posting anything since vinnOdum muhilOdum is the only song i know from that movie and your clip is not from that song. When i saw PS as another clue , it just reminded me of the other song (chinna chinna) being mentioned in some other thread and so i thought it might be that song!

  You know that it was SUN TV which started this
  vAram specials.. MGR vAram, Sivaji vAram,
  Rajini vAram, IR vAram, MSV vAram etc. I don't
  get SUN TV here in my house. But a friend who
  sees it regularly, told me that this week SUN TV
  is having.. guess what.. nagaichuvai vAram!
  They are showing movies like kAsEdhaan kadavuLadaa
  and kAdhalikka nEramillai (for the humpteenth time).

  .. pEr theriyalayE! MSV's music in that song is
  very spontaneous. The smooth flow of the song in
  spite of twists and turns and the numerous singers
  is amazing! I am not sure, but I think that was
  the first movie directed by KB which had MSV as
  the MD. The two combined to give great movies

  KB did story-screenplay and Krishnan-Panju did

  Real Audio page. If you want to listen to it,
  I can give you a link here. But, if you are
