great disappointment from IR. We definetely didn't expect this kind of stuff from IR. The fate of the movie is also under question?

HI joy, we think you had a bad taste. Pidamagan songs are arguably IR's masterpiece. All the songs are just great and soul touching. We hope that you listened to some other songs instead of this. Hear the songs, man.

I am becoming more desperate minute by minute. Come on guys, cant any one come up with a review. And we better do it in the IR new songs thread. Let all IR fans swarm there.

Hushain and Bala are the same persons.Look at their IP's.It is the same. And I even doubt that JOy is also the same person as these two.Their IP's are very similar except for the last octet. And this happens when U r mailing from an internal network.
So,don't arrive on any conclusions by looking at these messages.

Sabapathy is right.
For all the serious valaignar:
Can we please move this discussion to IRs new songs thread? That way I only have to open one thread, and can avoid all the flamers.

Pithamagan songs are superb but for the string of old songs and a mediocre folk song.Remaining 3 songs are a masterpiece. The movie is destined to be a hit.Just wait and see.I'll revive this thread after Pithamagan crosses 100 days.

Hi.. Friends..
Is there any links to hear the songs.......
- From: rajasaranam (@ 210.214.132.45)
on: Thu Oct 2 16:20:36 EDT 2003
As expected the creator has stumbled upon some excellent tunes which may remind us some of his older melodies. but after few listenings we will be obsessed with songs piraiyae and elangaathu. adadaa sung by KJY is a ezhuchi song like vetri varuthu frm amaidhipadai. kodi yethi vaipom is a thiruvizha folk no.
4 original compositions of which i wud recommend piraiyae, elangaathu and kodi yethi vaipom. sure they r going to linger in our memories......
but iam disappointed that IR is going tooooooo much digital in the songs piraiyae and elangaathu. i really want him to use original instruments as he used to before kadhalukku mariyaadhai......

V,
Ellaame Punnakuthaan is a soul stirring melody by our Raja with extremely bad lyrics by Pa. Vijay.
Also, KJJ's voice sounds tired and old in the Nel Arrupome song. Oh how I wish SPB has sung this one. Once again bad lyrics bring this otherwise interesting tune down.
Bhava is improving (Well! she couldn't get any worse, could she?) with every song. It is evedent in Adi aathi poongavanam as well. The lyrics are the very good and rustic - surprisingly by Vaalee.
Sadhana Sargam spoils the best tune and lyrics (Mu. Mehtha) in this album with her 'thamizh kolai'. ada enga poi en thalaya mutta.
Over all, I give this album 7/10. A good effort.

Vimarsana puli did you notice the violin piece that comes after the first charanam , just after the veena piece and before the guitar takes over..man its vintage IR stuff.Listen carefully, you might miss the 2 sec piece.
my eyes became mysty after listening to 'ellaame punnaaku'..what a voice? Only IRs voice can do that..
Great album

he he he..
if no ARR fans trying to infest this thread..then are some responsible people trying to get them involved.
Anyway..the two antiARR and antiIR postings..seems to be harmless..so let's try to keep it that way....and enjoy vintage IR stuff in PM...guys

after repeated hearings iam obsessed with Adadaa.... sung by KJY too... all four songs are great.
ive listened to the postlude of the song kodi yethi vaipom umpteen no. of times. it runs for around 1 min of the total 4 minute song with all those tharai, thapattai, urumi, nadaswaram etc., which is really gripping me.
get hold of the CD ASAP. Rejoice all IR fans that our maestro is not yet burnt out.
