Sathya(Bones),
I'll be back with some comments as soon as I could stop laughing. Bringing Deva to Canada(that's my worst nightmare!), now that's a bit too much:-)) Deva invading Hollywood and calling himself "Original":-))) Might actually happen when pigs start flying:-))) Keep the show going, you're on a roll. I'll be back.......

I saw that bones was surfing the DF tonight. That reminded me of this thread. I am reviving this, since people need to be reminded to take themselves less seriously once in a while. :-).

Oh Lovely!! We have been seeing serious postings from Bones on other threads for a few days now! I was wondering where this thread had gone to!!

The following is from the "Bitter truth about Deva ..." thread. Considering that we are discussing Deva here, I don't think anybody will object to the fact that I "copied" and "pasted" it from another thread :-)))

Balaji:
:-)))) The input for Deva's songs will read like a Who's Who of World Music :-))). After some time it will get caught in an indefinite loop as he keeps rehashing
his numbers which are actually others' numbers. We witnessed one such effect after "Mukkala Mukkabula" when there were atleast 4 different versions of the
song running in all the Top 10 countdowns - Deva's Utopia (fortunately for us Deva didn't copy that song too !). This is soon going to be the norm in the Indian
Film industry. Like Car Pooling we will soon have Song Pooling where 5-6 MD's will share the same tune in different languages. Once they exhaust that
option, they will use time-sharing - where each movie gets to use the tune for say, 6 months. Finally the MDs will insist that the movie-goers stand up and sing
whatever songs they like in the theater, when a 'silent song' sequence comes on screen - this will be the age of free choice ! Now no one can complain !

srinath: DON'T GIVE DEVA IDEAS!! i don't want to hear deva's version of mukkala muqabla ,converted to a gaana song , and sung by deva and having
thalaivasal vijay dancing!!!!!!!!!
Bones:
I don't think you started this thread, though you were the one to set the tone of this thread ! any idea who is that punniyavaan who started this thread in the first place ? The hostname looks familiar, but I can't place it...

Bones: great job, expecting more ROFL from u..
about palani bharathi, heard that he has mellowed down on his usage of tamenglish these days.

A very new Tamil song had the words "Hand Bag" in English, what the hell is that?
anyone noticed?
I think the movie is called "Thalata Varuvalo"

Oh, Im really surprised that you guys are able to recognise the English words in Tamil songs!! enakku adhu romba kashtam! romba uththu kEttu, kashtapattudhaan kaNdupidikkaNum. For example, I used to sing "Cadbury's kasakkudhE, college bOraachchE..... mmmhmmhmmm, mmmhmmhmmmhmmm mmmhmmmhmmhmmmhmmmm hmmm", until a six year old cousin of mine told me that it is "cushion-bed valikkudhE!".

Here is a new thread which can be started soon:
What would IR like to call himself: isai gnani or ragadevan or maestro???
postings:
HCIRF: take any name from sahasranAmam, add a prefix "isai" to it, and you get a title for IR.
Deva_fan: ragadevan???? there is only one devan in the music industry and it is our thenisai thendral!!!!
a cynic: *chuckling* maestro for IR? let me see the symphony first!!!
HCIRF: our god IR has written a symphony and it will be released in less than 48 years...i mean 48 hours. he is just waiting for his devotees like me to catch up with western classical so that we can appreciate his music well. this is a new shetrAdanam for us piligrims.
someone: this thread is useless. IR never wanted a title for himself. he just likes rAsaiyA. also , there is no objective way of bestowing a title for IR. so, Ravi , please kill this thread..
someone: this thread is useless. IR never wanted a title for himself. he just likes rAsaiyA. also , there is no objective way of bestowing a title for IR. so, Ravi , please kill this thread..
someone: sorry for posting twice.
someone2: Mr someone, if IR likes only rAsaiyA, why did he allow people to put fancy prefixes for him in his movies?? in 1974, in an interview to my cousin's friend's uncle, IR has said that the only ambition in his life to be named as isai raja. that is why he changed his name to ilaya raja so that the transition will be smooth.
HCIRF: i am going to call IR as isai raja from now on. ISAI RAJA VAAZHGA!!!
ravi: please donot use capitals. it is equivalent to shouting.
HCIRF2: thendral only moves air from one place to another. thenisai thendral deva moves music from one place to another.
Deva_fan: #@$_%#@#@!!!
someone3: please delete the above posting.
ARR fan: IR is outdated and is not as updated as ARR.he prefers to be called gnani which reminds me of an old rishi. ARR would be called the new age music guru.
someone4: isai raja can only be given to MSV and noone else.
someone5: not MSV, but papanasam sivan.
.....
and the thread goes to the archives as the fans get on to other controversies.
