decent album by YSR (i would have felt it was better had he done sumthin different from ullam)

first song by hariharan awesome

to me tracks 2-5 or just okay because similair to ullam

and track 6 experimental stuff by ysr will take a few listenings to see if i like that song

  Tamil Naatu Penn & Pothal Mani tracks seem very familiar but i cant lay my finger on it all songs are good none the less but think he may have copied last two tracks or been heavily inspired from sumwhere cant place my finger on the songs tho.
  
  anyways just curious you hear ppl complaining abt english lyrics all the time in ARR's songs but wat abt everyone elses music like last track has english lyrics but i bet no one will throw a hissy fit.

  anyway I found Ullam not that bad! 3 songs atleast were good.
  
  Ethiri songs, cant seem to judge from the low quality meadia. I am dieing to hear some non-rahman album so badly these days! I hope it will be good.

  the quality isnt bad its pretty good quality.i too felt ullam songs were good my comment was if i hadnt heard that before from him i woulda thought these to be better cuz the two albums sound familiar.but im realli enjoying the hariharan song.

  Those of you who did not understand Kum's post he meant (told me to correct it):
  In kum's opinion he finds that ARR's earlier music and energy can be now found in YSR's music today.
  
  I think that album is quite good and way better than the Ullam album.
  I like the Mudhal Mudhalaga song the piano in the beginning is cool and hariharan's singing is good.Then i pretty much like Podu Nanbanae, Sithanae Sithanae and Tamil Naatu Penn.

  I am yet to hear the songs - But Reg., Piratheeban's comment on usage of english lyrics, I think ARR and YSR are equally 'ethiri'gaL for tamil when it comes to use of 'tamil' singers or being particular about tamil lyrics :-)

  Who did music for 'C.B.I Enge theda sollum nenjam' sung by SukkuWinthar. Didnt whole IR Family take Sadhana Sargam for Motha Kuthagai? :) Rahman always seem to have one unique tamil singer(SPB, Hariharan, Shankar, Karthik) and use new for the rest, north or south. YSR use the same singers over and over in each album.

  i figured out the song!!! Tamil Naatu sounds like Mainave Mainave by VS at 2:10 for awhile and at 3:10 figured out one of em now jsut cant member where i heard last track from

  I like YSR's music very much, But I will be happy ONLY if he gives-up these nasty habits -
  
  1. Trying la-La-zha strangely (that too with nuninaakku always !) when singing - Better stop singing, or improve by learning good tamil - IMMEDIATE Priority !
  
  2. No Sadhana Sargam, No Udit NarayaN, Tell this to your father also ! If possible, to VidyaSagar also !
  
  3. Use other good poets also - giving 10% of songs to Pa. Vijay is okay, not 60% !

  Pa.Vijay - Had spoiled ARR's music with his lyrics similarly many YSR's songs..
  
  YES they have to avoid SS ..
  IR started this from kizhakkum merkum giving kathum kuyile . & continued...
  
  vidhyasagar is Promoting SS while ARR uses her aptly (when required)
  
  now you cannot find an album of VS/YSR without SS

  ARR started the 'era' of SS in tamil by 'veNNilavae' ... there is no way you can justify the use of her, when so many tamil singers are without any chances - I don't agree with your comment that "ARR uses her aptly (when required)" ... my argument is, there is no case in tamil where SS is required, We have 100s of better alternatives !
