let us jot down the albums which are getting released for pongal. let me start

1. Virumaandi - Illayaraja
2. Pudhukootayilirundhu Saravanan - YSRaja
3. Aayudha Ezhuthu - ARR

  Jai is releasing for pongal.they are already giving advt's listing the theatres not only in Chennai but also in Bangalore.I think for Pongal it will be a long list of films-Virumandi,PKS,Kovil,KKS,Engal Annan,Autograph,Thendral,Jai&Manasthan.Ayutha Ezuthu is on Aptil 14th.So is Gilli&Arul

  I beg to differ.. Mani left IR by choice not by loss or lower musical quality, he just found a really good new-comer and made full use of it.. His MBA came in very handy!! more than movie making style

  Dil Se movie (MR) and Dil Se soundtrack (ARR)
  Alaipaayuthey movie (Maniratnam) & Alaipaayuthey soundtrack (ARR)
  Thiruda Thiruda movie (MR) & TT soundtrack (ARR)
  Bombay movie (MR) & soundtrack (ARR)
  Iruvar movie (MR) & soundtrack (ARR)
  Kannathil Muthamitaal (MR) & soundtrack (ARR)
  
  Of all these, MR managed to come close to ARR's performance in AP,Bombay, Iruvar,KM . and all these movies minus those soundtracks... MR would be making use of his MBA somewhere else.
