All times in EST +10:30 for IST.

Kamal, Karthik (the actor), Vijay, Vikram, Manoj, Meena, Shalini, Priyanka Chopra, and a few others which I might have missed have all sung in movies they acted (except for Kamal & Vikram who have sung for movies they did not act and Manoj and Meena, who have released albums).

Even Rajni "sung" a bit for "Adikkuthe Kuliru" in Mannan.

Who do you think is the best singer of all these actors?

Vikram did a great job at the star night thing. But for BEST singer/actor, I'd go with SPB (ha ha, wink wink) since he's acted in movies.

Vijay have never sing a song to fit a particular situation..like kamal did...

i think kamal is the best...

he have sung like
1) an old lady(Rukku, rukku)
2) a physco (Kadavul Pathi)
3) a romeo (Kathal Piryamal)
4) a matured man(Inji eduppalaga)..
...and so on...

Dev, I was afraid someone would bring SPB's name in this thread :), however he doesn't count as he is a SINGER turned ACTOR, not the other way around :p

Just a query abt Vijay..(this might not be the best suitable thread..but forgive for that)

first Vijay wanted to be like Rajni when he was given
"Ilaya Thalapathi"..

now he want to be like Vijayakanth by adding...
"Puratchi Ilaya Thalapathi"..

what next ?

"Puratchi Ilaya Ulaga Navarasa Nayagan Thalapathi " ?.....by adding "Ulaga Nayagan of Kamal and Navarasa Nayagan of Karthik?....

KAMAL is the best singer among all actors.
1. NINAIVA ORU......... Sikappu Rojakkal
2. SUNDARI NEEYUM............MMKRajan
3. INGI IDUPPAZHAGHI..........Devar Magan.
But credit goes to IR. Kamal can sing well. He needs a music composer like IR to bring the best.

hehe....since i have to pick from the given list i wud go with Kamal....though i don like his singing he seems to be the best out of the lot

IMHO Vijay sux....in all aspects....he is terrible when it comes to stage singing....really horribke.....i sing better!....so i guess some technology is being used to make him sound better......even if he becomes the "Puratchi Ilaya Navarasa Ulaga Nayagan Thilagam Super Star Thalaivar"! i feel he sux :) .... pattam ellam thaanaa vechukka vendiyathu thaan....so watch out soon for this pattam!

btw...spkin of pattams i feel the "Chinna Kalaivaanar" and "Karuppu Nagesh" for Vivek and Vadivelu are a grave injustice to NSK and Nagesh.....again IMHO

I think SPB is the best, he has also acted in movies. No one is better than SPB tollywood will lose the music soul if SPS stops singing

BPS, It's not fair to include SPB (though he is the best of all) as he is primarily a play back singer.. Similarly malaysia vasudevan, TMS and seerkazhi govindarajan and TR Magalingam..

Can I say that thayagaraja bhavathar is/was the best singer of all actors??

Vijay being a good singer....debatable....have u guys listened to his singing on stage....or shud i say talkin on stage?! .... horrible whether i see it as singing or talking! :) .... however he has ung hit numbers in films....how possible this? .... orey kuzhappams

kamal is a good singer-actor no doubt.....but these days he sings many songs in his films and i don find it all that pleasant to listen too.....there mayb others with dif taste however

SriVidhya is a good singer though not as good as MLV. I have heard her bhajans albums and she is pretty good with classical style.
