The BIGGEST mistake IR made is .........

The Biggest ever mistake IR commited in his life is not to use the genius SPB ji, IR can not give a huge hit without SPB, ok, expect sindhu bhairavai, most of early till mid 90's songs of IR were given to Jokers like Mano, who him self is BIG SPB fanatic, why does IR do this, Is he worried that SPB will take all the credit, look at Kaasi songs, all by the zombi hariharan, y not SPB?

  You cannot say like that.
  HariHaran is also a good singer.
  Mano is really the mocker of SPB.
  Mistake by Raja sir is that, some times he uses very old music.
  But recent ones are good. Like Kannukul Niavu, Kadhalukkuu Mariyadhai

  Zombi hariharan, :)), r u sam's brother by any chance, yes, Hari is an OK singer, he has spoilt many songs, which should have naturaly to SPB, like Kaasi songs, did IR forget his "Kadhal Oviyam", "Raaja parvai", etc??
  
  Mano is really pathetic!, no orginality with a horrible voice and bifg time SPB wannabe :))

  When you want to praise SPB, don't spoil other singers name. Hariharan has very good voice otherwise he can't give a good hits.
  
  Chitra told once that She cried after singing Uyire song (Bombay) that she couldn't match Hariharan. Mano himself acknowledging that he is duplicating SPB (Poor man's SPB).
  
  Don't call yourself biggest mistake or smallest mistake.
  
  Kadhalukku Mariyadhai Ennai Thalatta varuvala can't be replaced with SPB, Uyire song like that so many. So every singer has individuality and MD wants to utilize the same. Otherwise we will also feel monotonous.
  
  And also situation also compel to choose othersingers. SPB is the busiest singer at that time, so getting his dates also a problem.
  
  Every MD has a down time, IR is not GOD to rule the Music Industry for ever. ARR also will face the time. Need to accept the reality.

  that shows your ignorance, go and listen to the Telugu version of kadhalukku mariyadhai, where SPB sang the telugu version of "enna thaalata varuvaazha" and listen to hari's tamil version.

  IR always makes the mistake of choosing wrong singers like KJY, Vijay Ysudoss in JulieGanapathy, making Bhava, KR,YSR sing some of his songs, made Jency sing and spoil some wonderfult tunes of his. He has to learn the art of presentation (Great packaging and not real good stuff) from ARR

  I just listened to KJY's song in Julie Ganpathy. He has lost his voice control almost completely owing to age. It is time he gracefully called it a day. KJY now is like an ocean that dried up quite some time ago. Even in the beautiful film Bharathi, he completely spoiled the songs. A very salient feature of KJYs singing these days is his repeated use of a "vibrato" especially in the lower notes (a la Kumar Sanu).
  
  On the other hand, SPB's voice is quite fine as yet (age has had its effect on his voice as well, but not to such a great extent).

  SPB is nothing in front of The Legend Hariharan.
  You don't teach to Maestro.. Where ever there is unknown talented people.. he brings out.. Dont compare Mano with SPB.. Mano has some special talents.. Musicians only knows it. Unnai pola ghana sooniyangalukku athu puriyaathu.. Purinthaal.. Hariharan yaar endru.. unakku therinthirukkum.. The Legend Hariharan can teach to SPB.. Hariharan paadum Our Sangathiyai SPB-Yaal paada mudiyathu.. Athu IR-kku theriyum.. Dont waste your time.. Hi Kid..Go and learn music to start threads like this one..

  there is no singer in tfm who can match spb's voice and versatility. Hariharan is just another singer like jesudas, pbs, jayachandran etc. hariharan has glamour because he is from bombay and has sung several ghazal songs and other private albums. SPB is unique and you just cannnot find another replacement for him. One reason why raja's songs as well as kamalahassan songs are failing at the box office is only because spb is not there.

  SPB cannot improvise on the stage like Hariharan. SPB and Hariharan are legends.

  SPb is the only singer who improvises on stage & off stage, yet, ppl talk like these.
  
  Do u know, hariharan said in interview how he wants to be like SPB, and that SPB is uncompareable, if u do not trust me, go & watch some of his interviews , :((

  Hari has been in Play back singing in the last 11 yrs, Ok, he sang a song in 1979, but no big deal, yet he is called a legend, what a joke :))
  
  SPB been around for 37 years, KJy been around for 42 years, these are legends not harihan & Co, god save these ppl :((

  mythila, "IR always makes the mistake of choosing wrong singers " is a generic and motherhood statement. Yes, some of the songs would have been great if handled by capable singers (Bhava, IR himself). But IR is also known for choosing singers which are exactly fit to film like Malaysia vasudevan Mudal mariyadai song (MV considers his great achievement singing to Sivaji,thanks to IR), while ARR used him for just shouting kare bure in one song (wonder how did he accept that).

  IR failed miserably when he dub his films in other languages (particularly Hindi). ARR scores high. When he reused / dub his songs in other language alongwith film or for some other film, you won't feel much difference between the original and dubbed one.
  
  That is also the biggest reason for ARR success in Hindi.

  Without SPB there are so many hit songs are there after ARR. So it is not a valid statement that IR did big mistake by not using SPB.

  NOBODY HAS THOUGHT OF SPB BY REPLACING HARIHARAN FOR THE SAME. IT IS THE SAME CASE FOR ANY SINGERS. WHEN THAT ENNAI... SONG WAS HIT, NOBODY IN A DISCUSSION THAT IT SHOULD BE BY SPB. WHY ARR HASN'T USED SPB FOR UYIRE SONG OF BOMBAY IN TELUGU ALSO.
  
  DON'T THINK THAT SPB CAN REPLACE EVERYBODY, HE HAS HIS OWN LIMITATION. BUT HIS LIMITATION LEVEL IS NOT COMPARABLE WITH OTHER SINGERS. THAT IS HIS CREDIT.
  
  IF YOU HEAR MALAYALAM (DUBBED EITHER FROM TAMIL OR TELUGU) ALL THE SONGS WILL BE EITHER KJ OR SRIKUMAR. THEY USED TO THIS VOICE THEY ARE SINING THAT DOESN'T MEAN SPB CAN'T IN MALAYALAM. SPB IS GREAT. DON'T COMPARE ARTIST.
  
  Regarding LEGEND, LEGENDS doesn't require to very high experience. It should be moderate. Somebody MAY SING FOR YEARS, then we can't call them LEGENDS.

  FYI, ARR has used SPB more than nasal hariharan, please refer to ARR statistics b4 making such bland statements, and FYI, most((90%) of the ARR telugu songs have SPB!, not hariharan & Co, OK.
  
  same goes to ARR's mallu songs, most of them are by M.G.Sreekumar / Srinivas and KJY, sometimes!,
  ARR says in interview that SPB is legend, he only gives SPB the BEST tune!!, of late ARR has not been giving any BIG hits,besides we are not taking about ARR here, but IR.
  
  Hariharan sings like half dying person,he has no style, no modulation, no emotion, his voice is nasal, tell me the different between his voice with other singers like, Srinivas, Udit Naryan & Kumar shanu, all these singers are very nasal.
  
  please do listen to some SPB songs from 1966 - 2003, then you will know, what u have been missing so far!
  
  Hariharan is not in demand right now, it is Karthick who is demand now, better voice than hariharan & better singer than hariharan, Shanker is also better singer than hari, hari is one over rated greatly hyped singer.

  Another big mistake IR did was not using the wonderful singer vani Jayaram properly. But all the few songs that he made with Vani was super hits. For Instants movies like Azhage Unnai arathikindren, Ilamai OOnjal Adhugindrathu and some more solos and duets. They make a very good pair in tfm but I cant understand why it didnt work out between them.
