Jency where are you?

I'm a new visitor to this website. I couldn't see anyone discussing about Jency's songs.
Well im a fan of her, and would like to know more about her.

I'm cracy about her voice and the style she sing, so please help me to find more detailes about her, and her musik life.. Where is she now? Is she stil singing? Are there any webcite's with her picture?
Please try to write all of her song´s to me, and the film titel.
I would be happy if you people could answer my questions :)

  Well done tamilini..finally a thread for my favourite singer jency...a truly talented artiste with high & low pitch in her singing...she was also famous for singing christian & malayalam songs...IR was the only music director who used her at that time...if u wanna know her other songs, go 2 this thread...

  swarnaltha has the same style of singing in her melodies though she is mostly used for fast numbers...nearly all of jency's songs were my favourites...the most famous ones being...en uyir neethaney & kathal oviyam...deiveega raagam from ullasa paravaigal is a haunting melody...ayiram malagale wif malaysia vasudevan & sailaja is also another treat...devan thrichabai malargale from avar enake sontham wif vasantha is worth a mention here too...

  sujatha and jency started their careers together.....although jency was a little older....and..evolutionvii....i think 'kadhal oviyam' was sung by sujatha.....well..i like jency too and i think that she's now well settled in the US

  Thamthana namthana thaaLam varum was a terrific song, sung by Jency Antony. In fact, she appeared to be a 'check' for Janaki. There was a tit-bit that this song was supposed to be sung by SJ and other singer; but due to some undue delay from SJ, it was given to Jency. And JA did it very well, with a good support from B Vasantha.
  
  In Telugu, the same song was sung by PS and SJ in place of JA and BV; IR did it in a different style of western interludes in that. But though two legends have sung that, the original was original !!!

  Good to see people remembering Jency. It is really amazing that very little is known about a singer who sang some of the biggest hits of her time. Her sojourn in tfm was short-lived-perhaps only 4-5 years, but what memorable songs she sang in that brief period! I have never read any interview of hers, nor have seen her photograph in any magazine.
  
  Howeever, in spite of this, the fact that she is remembered more than 20 years after she stopped singing is testimony of her wonderful songs. Here are Jency's songs that I recall:

  Pranav, we didnt know P.Susheela studies in the same department, same college with you :) This is hitting below the belt!
  And for your kind attention Sir, when I first started listening to songs, I could identify SJ's voice only by her distinct style of using the 'n' sound - very nasal and strong.
  Not that its anything bad, thats her basic style thats all.
  
  The objective is not to spark off another debate here, but avoid stirring strifes by using diff nicks

  The songs listed are memorable inspite of Jency's 'contribution'. Surprising to note that IR persisted with her for that long. Excepting for Chitra, Sujatha none of IR's new introductions like Malaysia Vasudevan, Jency, Brahmanandam have impressed.

  Evolution Vii, Devan thiruchabai malargale is by Poorani and Indira. These two singers were regulars in IR's stage shows in the early years. However he didn't give them many opportunities in films.

  GA used to come to my school annual day functions(with Mano/SL) and couple of times, he introduced two singers Indrani and Nirmala. Have you heard of any such singers in tfm?

  sravanan...thanks for info..all the while I thought devan thiruchabai was by jency....it was even stated that way in the newtfmpage singer's stats...I still feel it sounded more like jency (this is so beacuse I'm hearing the song now)...anyway thanks ...

  Indrani & nirmal were regulars for gangai amran troupe...I met the both of them during their shows here...nirmala is the younger good looking 1...GA told me that they were sometimes used as track singers for IR but never really got the BIG break...
  
  Most of the shows here & in India, sri lanka & dubai, I 've only seen these 2 plus chitra wif the troupe...sn surendar whose only good song from IR devan koil from naan padum padal ,(the other one being mamarathu poo from omai vizhgal by manoj gyan)is alo a regular singing spb songs for the stage shows....my honest opinion abt sn surendar was that he was better off as a dubbing artiste for mohan...& only famous for being vijay's thaimaman...
  
  another very good singer krishnamoorthy(someone whom I consider the tru tms clone) sings tms songs to the tee...a joy to hear him on stage...His break wif the K bakyaraj / IR movie Thooral ninnu pochu wif "yen soga kathayai kellu thaikulamey" wif M vasudevan was a good effort but didn't really take off well which was why he didn't get much chances...having seen him on stage singing tms songs & meeting up wif him was really a nice experience...
  
  another interesting info was a singporean keyboard player known as mohd basir, (Mohd Raffe's brother - the one who sang jumbalakka in en swasa katre, signore in kannathil mutthamittal, & the mega hit intha kappakilangey in dhool), was playing for both IR & gangai amaren...a 1st for a singporean...he was also involved in the movie kamalhaasan movie mangamma sabatham as a rhythm machine & synthesizer player for the tamil version of beat it & billie jean (am not really sure of the song)...I believe it's a shankar ganesh music...he was there for a initial period before going fulltime for IR & Gangai Amaren in the mid 80's & early 90's period...

  I remember reading a gossip between Raja & Jency as sometimes it happens in the tamil film industry when two opp.sex works together continuously immediately these gossips starts, the same time Raja also stopped giving her the chances.
