Sify says the movie is releasing on sept 5th,what kind of a weird situation is this where the songs are released 4 days b4 the movie's release therby preventing the audio from gaining popularity&thereby helping the openings of the movie. Why does KR's music always finds itself shorchanged?

This is like the same situation which a master piece like Parthale paravasam (dud film) met with for ARR. The music released exactly 31/2 days before the film released.
Hope KuM does not meet the same fate. If KR had done a good job then he needs a break badly.

Hi H,
Heard all the songa..
The best was a song rendered by Maestro "Alaghiya Kiliye..." is the best and it also has a instrumental which is a master piece of KR and it has the touches of IR to some extent.
There is another duet i was not able to recognise the male singer but the female was sujatha.. the song was also good..
The others are okay.. we will get used to it as we hear them again...
Worth Buying cassette,.,. CD yet to be released

guys, the song rendered by IR is amazing! it is an example of KR's evolving musical sensibilities - this guy will go far if he is given the proper encouragement!
and in another piece, KR displays a unique talent for vocal harmony + lilting melody!

Movie viewing experience taking us totally into newer dimensions, has been dealt with, in the newly released 'Kudaikkul Mazhai'- The Paarathiban's movie. venturing into the untravelled frontiers of The mind and deciphering them for us to understand has been done with ease and expertise by the director. the movie leaves us with awe and a trascedental state at times. the plot is handled well that we cud not even foresee the twists and turns the movie takes at times. living in Delusions/illusions/hallucinations is the central character of the movie enacted well by Paarthiban. at some scenes his acting talent takes us by surprise 'where were u all these days!'[better than Aalavandhaan!!]. except for the Voice modulation done for the character 'Krishnan' enacted by paarthiban we wud love him rgt frm the start till end. I wud not like to tell the story and plot since this may lessen the thrilling experience ur gonna get when watching the movie. though there are some flaws in the movie we could give away with them as the movie in whole is good.
Other departments like Music,Artdirection, photography,Editing etc., hav given their fullest support for such a movie. Especially Karthick raja deserves to be mentioned as he has done some excellent BGM pieces on par with his Father Ilaiyaraja [ who is ofcourse the king of BGM in Indian cinema ]. though the song rendered by IR doesnt suit well with the scene[ or is it that i felt IR getting too Old to render this song] the theme music and BGM which helps us to travel along the movie is done excellently.
This movie may not attract the common man, viewing movies for the sheer pleasure of entertainment value derived out of a movie. But such movies are ought to be supported by cinefans to encourage more and more directors to venture into such daring themes and projects.

Just saw the 'thirai vimarsanam, of 'KM'.
I, sort of, was dissappointed with the 'blank looks' and 'uneasy face expressions' from the people coming out of the theater. From just what Sun TV showed, I could see that it is different kind of movie and one that should be encouraged by the movie-goers. But, I don't think it is going to happen. I wish the CM exempts such movied from the sales tax and make it a commercially viable movie to encourage people like Paarthiban to continue to take such movies. It is really sad that people are ready to throng to the theaters for movies like NEw but not for this!

I listened to this album 4-5 times atleast ..This would be my review . I too feel the sound recording was bad ( or may be as i wa slistening it over the web ) ...
1.Instrumental Piece - Theme Music
Starts with a keyboard piece .The percussions slowly add up ,followed by the orechestra .KR hs done an excellent job here .The chorus at the end is just simply haunting .KR is much known for adding layers of music . 9/10 .I would have given 10 /10 except i expected a pure orchestral song which it was not .Very haunting peice ,esp the melody line .
2.ENga Poi Solluven - SPB
First i did not like this song as i thought the lyrics was too ordinary .But not repeated listening ,i feel the lyrics was very natural .This song defintely has the feel of early 90 songs of raaja .Lyrics by Muthukumar s very natural ,though one may not feel so if u listen just for 1-2 times alone .KR's liking ofr hindustani voice interludes is evident in this song . 8 /10
3.Pattu Pattu -Karthik
WOnderful song .Fats paced song .Trademark KR song wth astylish interlude . It would have bene great if it is a minute longer 9/10
4.Instrumental _Thalattu
Starts with a IR type of melody ,but belnds into something unique - hindustani style.Exceelent line 9 /10
5.Oru Kottaikul - Ranjith
Excellent SOng .Only the sound mixing is bad .the interludes are excellent .The orchestral harmony is excellent ,esp in the interludes. KR ha s beautifully maintained the story of the movie in this song . the second interludes has John WIlliams Flavour ..9/10
6.Onne Rendu - Hariharan
What a haunting prelude ?For along time nobody ha s produced such a haunting melody line in the prelude .KR has something very different in this song .Unfortunately the sound quality and the lyrics of the first 2 lines does not support him .He has used high pitch of hariharan to give an affect of pop /rock,which might not help .The violin solo interlude ( KR should be the king of solo violin interludes ) is just amazing .The JAZZ sax in the second interlude is just amazing . 9/10
7.Adiye Kilye -IR
Just amazing song .Lyrics and sound quaility is very good in this song .Sounds bit IRish .9/10
One word ,this album is just superb !!!!!
This album is a must buys for guys who love good orchestration and good melody line .
