Anandha vikatan has given 52 marks for this film. Says Bharadwaj's melodies are very nice.

"Ninaivugal Nenjinil" sang by Unni Mennon is my favourite song in Autograph album. The other songs that are okay to listen to are are "Ovvoru Pookalume" by Chitra and "Gnyabagam Varudhae" by Bharathwaj. The lyrics to these songs are quite sad though.

Whenever I hear the starting (just the starting)of Ovvoru pookkalumae, I get reminded of "Naan oru Sindhu(Sindhu Bhairavi)" song.

rajeshrs_tvm, exactly! That song (Ovvoru pookaalumae) does remind me of "Naan oru Sindhu". Infact I realised that only after seeing ur post. Even the song "Gnyabagam Varudhae" reminds me of "Avar avar vaazhkaiyil" incidently another Cheran film, music by Bharadwaj and rendered by him.
I though Ovvoru pookalumae was a pathos song but today I saw the clippings on TV. Its a very moving scene and also inspiring in a way! Nice rendition by Chithra too.

Cheran went to IR for "Desiya Geetham"..I wish he used IR for Autograph..:(
IR is the best for story like Autograph..though Baradwaj has done fair justice..what do you think ?

Bharaathwaj has doen justice to both songs and BGM .....Splendid work ...IR might have excelle d in BGM defintely ,but if IR does everything what for Bharadwaj !!!!!

the movie is very good indeed, but why bhardwaj uses bits and pieces frm HULK, Road to perdition etc., for the BGM. he has come up with nice melodious tunes for the songs but he is zero in BGM it seems.

Mumbai Ramki & rajasaranam,
A catch !!!
Hear the starting music of "Ninaivukal Nenjil.." of Autograph and "Vaarthai Thavari vittaai.." from Sethu again and again for few times !!
I could see Baradwaj taking IR as reference for the similar situation song !!

Yeh, from my first listening to the Autograph songs I found the music very similair to Paandavar Bhoomi. Like the song Avaravar Vazhakkai from Paandavar Bhoomi to Gnyabagam Varudhae from Autograph.

In the latest Vikatan, one of the heroines (Mallika) from that movie has said that she was introduced to Cheran by IR. IR had noticed her performance while doing the BGM for Nizhal Koothu and mentioned her name to Cheran. Given thats the case, it is apparent that Cheran and IR seem to have a friendly relationship. IR might have refused because of his commitment to the Thiruvasakam project, methinks.

Cheran did not aproach to IR for Autograph.
He mentioned in one interview that give want to give chance to Baradwaj, Infact he did excellent
job for " Paandavar Boomi". He accept that Autograph like movies needs IR

where can i get the lyrics of "autograph" movie songs?
the lyrics are really good and touching.Hats off to cheran. The way the movie taken was much more exciting than the concept.Only experienced professionals like cheran can bring those challenging concepts vividly on the screen.there are movies whose story base very good but badly taken that do fail on the screen.Cheran's autograph brings out this fact and will remain ever in the tamil film industry reminding us about this highly professional and a class director who believes takin movies with scenes that are surely close to hearts of people of tamilnadu.a lot more to speak about the shots in kerala example for vijay milton's stuff.the most important about this film is cheran's chosin of apt individuals to the characters.the picture of neikaranpatti in our heart is done by Ravivarman who is a ravivarman' of the frames.the background scorin by sabesh and murali surfaces the talents of people which are deep in ravines so far.the sound of beetle near the trees in the village scenes are mindblowing and it surely appeals to the sincere viewer.hats off to all behind this.a lot more to talk.no time.bye.

I saw Autograph guys!
What an amazing movie!!!!!!!!!
This and Virumandi are the only real good tamil films I have seen since Kannathil Muthamittal.
A glorious two months for tamil cinema!!
I liked this movie much much more than pseudo-serious movies like Nandha and Pithamagan.
I have taken a vow to watch all of Cheran's movies. He is soon becoming one of my favorite diector. I havealready seen Porkaalam, Pandavar Bhoomi and Autograph. All three are very very good. I am dying to see Desiya Geetham and Vetri Kodi Kattu.
Hope our tamilians have atleast 1 % brains to appreciate movies like Autograph. I am buying the DVD for sure! Three cheers to meaningful tamil cinema!!!!
