7GRC's preview is coming on tv channels now. Yuvan has come up with a different theme music this time. Any thoughts?

well, all you people are spitting on your own faces.where some people making genuine efforts like yuvan and selva raghavan you tear them apart.enjoy kuthu songs, dont cry for good songs then.very sad,our tamil taste has gone down this much.using bad words to talk to,using vulgar comments, god, when my country will grow up?
the basic point is nobody has qualification here to judge anything.whoever has the talent they keep quiet.
please friends, whatever you are, spend some time befofe judge anything.
that is what foreigners do.they analyse.they think.they win.
we end up nowhere.
please stop these kind of comments.and dont discourage albums like rainbow colony.

Hey dudes,
I changed my mind. IR is the greatest. Yuvan and KR are great. Rest are good except ARR and HJ.
I am asking all immature stupids like me to join in DineSHIT rally for ARR and HJs downfall..they really suck BIG TIME...

I think 7GRC is a good album, the melodies are definetly haunting, the other songs ok 2. one instrumental is amazing, which i still think is from the jhonny movie. the other instrument is bad.
Definetly a better album from yuvan, not upto kadhal kondain though!

Say there is good demand for composers like Rahman and YSR nowadays. Puts AE music on top followed by Gilli and 7GRC.

NagaS, i was going thro the old responses, and found this - "does that mean YSR is not concerned about tamil pronounciation at all ?) " - lollu thannaaaa....... iam sure u have listened to "Poi sollaaa endhaa vaayasukku" song - thats the best "thamil kollaaai" i have heard of....
anyway, i heard the album once, and it was neat.... may be on couple of more hearings, it might be good as KK..... one song i hate in this album is "January maadham" (or some maadhaaam)....

Heard the first two lines of ninaithu ninaithu by shreya ghosal, was getting the feeling, hey this sounds good... the next line shreya goes "unnal daane naane volgirennnnn" pffffftttt.
my urge to listen to that song died. still continued to listen to it and the thamizh kolais continued... Finally ended with the feeling: "nice song, but definitely would have been great if not for these blatant mispronounciations".
Listening to the Kay Kay version as I am typing this, feeling a lot better :-)
Whats with these lyrics writers? How can they allow such things to happen... Recently i heard vairamuthu made adnani sami come down from bombay to re-record a particular mispronounced tamil word(in Orunmai sonnal from AE). I wish this trend continues...
Really cant blame the singers for this. The same way MDs want to use certain singers for their singing talents. I feel that is the duty of lyric writers to educate such singers and make them sing properly.

Yes correct Music has no language barrier, considering yuva and AE, i enjoy AE better, it goes the same way with Sadma/Moonram pirai
Cannot comment on 7G, coz have not heard it.

'7-G Rainbow Colony' music is haunting
Thursday June 10 2004 17:56 IST
IANS
"7-G Rainbow Colony" is filmmaker Selvaraghavan's second movie after the commercially successful and critically acclaimed "Kaadhal Kondein".
Selvaraghavan and Yuvan Shankar Raja had produced one of 2003's greatest musical hits in "Kaadhal Kondein". Listening to the music of "7-G Rainbow Colony", one gets the strong feeling that history may repeat itself.
What makes its music a cut above other albums is composer Yuvan Shankar Raja's haunting instrumental tracks. Anybody who has seen the movie's trailer on TV is likely to have been impressed.
But the instrumental theme of "7-G Rainbow Colony" strikes you with its haunting melody. It reminds one of Western classical music at several points. It is but rarely that an instrumental track catches a listener's attention like this.
But the film is not all about the theme song, which, though the most exceptional track in the album, is not the only number worth listening to.
Another track that catches the ear is "January Maadham", a fast-paced track belted out by Mathangi and Kunal. However, even this track has a haunting undertone, in step with the mood of the entire album.
"Naam Vayadhukkum" is another good track but sounds similar to the compositions of A.R. Rahman and Harris Jayraj. The lyrics are young with lots of English words interspersed and remind a bit of "Boys".
"Ninaithu Ninaithu" has two versions - one in which Shreya Ghosal sings, and another that Kay Kay belts out. This tune is rather slow and isn't as catchy as some of the other tracks.
Another, "Music of Joy", is unique in that it seems to incorporate several genres of music. Starting off with a Latino beat that reminds one of Ricky Martin songs, it begins to sound a bit like the ballroom music of yore.
"7-G Rainbow Colony" is a great buy even if only for the mellifluous and haunting instrumental theme.

In response to your post, as far as I have heard, the wedding has been postponed as IR and his wife do not think it is appropriate for YSR to be married before his elder sister.
I am not sure this is true though as I know some people who are going to the wedding and they said it is still on.
