Why and how did this happen between the two great peaks of TFM? Here's V.M's lates interview.

  Vairamuthu (VM) claims that he detached himself from the Ilayaraaja team (who VM said was on the peak at the time of separation) after thinking over it for about 2 years and just for 2 reasons:
  
  (i) to save his dignity (but the reason remains a X-file), and
  (ii) to up-hold Tamil language's dignity (seems VM is the emperor of Tamil Language Dinasty).
  
  VM said he was confident with his expertise in Tamil language and therefore do not (anymore) need a strong background to maintain and achieve his
  ambition in TFM.
  
  I suppose that IR and VM had clashes on the principle of writing lyrics for music and composing music for already written music. It seems both of them were (and are) not aware that audience listen to lyrics and music at the same time.
  They value any songs based on the combination of these 2 (critical) aspects!

  TFM and, so, we really missed some more beatifull combination of Tamil and Music like 'Sinthu Pairavi' and 'Muthal Mariyathai' 'coz of this two great guys seperation...There is no doubt that these 2 guys are great in their own department....but the problem, i think, is both thought(and still thinking) that they are Lords of Music(IR) and Tamil(VM). 'SuyaKathal' blocked their eyes...they forgot to respect each others ability and skill. So ultimatly we missed some more great songs from them.

  It all started when VM said my lyrics is

  Then end up creating the great separation.
  He wont tell the same thing (a) to ARR because

  Secondly, what 'music for lyrics' controversy? Does ARR score music for VM's lyrics?
  
  The sad truth is, only VM has talked repeatedly about why he separated from Raja. I don't recall Raja ever saying anything on this topic. 'kutramulla nenju, kuRukuRukirathu'.

  How about applying the same analogy to you and VM? You have trashed VM and VM does not know that you have trashed him. Now, can we call VM as moon and you as ...? You may/may not like VM and you can post whatever you like but to call a fellow human being a dog is too much. I don't know if VM has rendered great service to Thamizh than anyone else but he has done much more than you and me. So, please stop trashing an artist like this.

  As far as i know VM has always tried to irritate IR. At the time of the peak of this combination, this VM tamail tiger thought that the songs are becoming hit only because of his lyrics. In fact both combined nto give good music. But it was the music which served as a beacon. Now this tamil tiger writes lyrics which are not tamil or english, and calls it a himalayan effort. The guy who talked about self respect is at his boot licking with ARR. Probably to earn his living. Soon time will change and if the mediocre MD's are making a comeback,why cannot IR the genius.

  As far as VM is concerned, he irritates the heck out of me with his stupid remarks about tamilan this and tamilan that. I don't understand why people think that he is a great kavi or whatever. 90 percents of his songs repeat the same dumb stuff. And in the name of creativity he comes up with stuff like 'I will fish on your hair'?. Yeah, real contribution to tamizhs. Why talk like some big expert who knows everything about tamils and think that he has authority to speak on behalf of others when he wasn't officially given any. It's rather annoying. And, admitting that I am not a great tamizh puzhavi, what was so great about 'Sindhu bhairavi' and 'mudhal mariyaathai' lyrics. Seems to me that it is the basic stuff that those before him wrote.
  
  BTW, in his songs collections book, he dedicated his songs to some of the singers. He dedicated 'mari mari ninE' to Mrs. Chithra and 'raasaave unnai' something to Mrs. Janaki.

  I am not sure this is the correct reason for VM separating from IR (or IR sidelining VM). IR was writing a serial in some weekly magazine (not sure which one). The serials always began with poems. Seems they were written by VM but IR wrote as if it was his. Any one can confirm this?

  IR wrote a serial.. kind of comedy serial..
  that he stoped after few weeks, due to his busy shedule. I wonder why at all he tried it, like kamal and rajni turn in frogs.. janaki, amran, spb are all characters in it. As a kid i was enjoying it at that time. But I dont know if he wrote any poem in it.

  The real reason for IR and VM seperation is as below.
  IR was writting a serial on a Tamil Magazine and it was in a Poetic form. When the serial was active, a TV reporter questioned VM about the serial and VM told him that eventhough IR is writting it, the content is IR's thinking but the presentation and transformations are done by him.
