Firstly, where the hell is he? I know he did some concerts or something but where are all his latest movies and hits? Parasuram should be opening soon but what happened to the rest?? I was looking fwd to Yelelo, Boys, New, E18U20(something like that!), etc. All these films supposed to have opened some time ago but they have vanished. Did he delay these films again or the producers withdrew the films?
What's more, nowadays his music has become so mundane that the feelings I use to have looking out for the release so eagerly have also vanished. Has the upsurge in quality by other newcomers made his music so mundane? Has he given up film music. His Bombay Dreams has been a total failure and a waste of time listening to it. Just where is he & what is he up to?

Why you people have to wait for him.He may have lost interest to compose the music for the tamil film or may be busy with international projects he only knows. There is no loss for the tamil film music. Now HJ,YSR,VS doing well.Let us listern to them.

It is impossible to keep churning out hit after hit year after year. Even IR had to take the backseat after ruling for about 15 years (although ARR himself was at the top for about 7 years only). ARR's recent albums like KM, KV, and Udhaya
have been very good, if not outstanding, efforts though. ARR is probably a victim of his own hype, I guess. His Boys has been already so hyped up that anything but an outstanding score will be a fallback to the mundane. His decline is also probably in no small measure due to the fact that other good MD's have started employing his tested formula.

I felt the same way Music Lover(the sane guy in the first post)
But, I feel parasuram is a great album! Cant you just see the suage of chords? It is so abundant and it really shows that ARR wants to bring back his old magic again and wants to connect with his fans again by giving them the similar kind of music he always gave us.
Personally I thought KV and Udhaya were duds. But he is not out. Bhagat Singh was fantastic and so is Parasuram. All songs are good in it whatever the ARR bashers say. However it is 100 % true that the general level of music in TFM is very ARR-like and there are so many good albums right now- Winner, Saamy, Kaaka Kaaka, Partibhan Kanavu
All these albums are great and there is Parasuram too. One kid who has made a big impact on me is YSR. He is so passionate about music and it shows in his latest discotheque song Aye Aye from winner.
However ARR is back with a bang in Parasuram. What do you think.

Let me tell what i think. The original Parasuram must be rolling in his grave - this is what i think. If he died a Hindu like George Harrison the ashes must be rollin too.

Im not an AR RAHMAN Basher; but it seems that AR has lost his uniqiness lately;;
Udaya is a mediocre album; and Parasuram was very dull. All the songs sounded the same and it seems that Rahman has ran out of creative luck..
However; i listened to teh "Boyz" Theme and it is mind blowing... hopefully the rest of the album will also be like that..
i heard boyz will have 10 bit songs all together..
wow...can't wait..
If anyone knows when "Boyz" will be released... please let us all knokw

LOL @ Mannankatti!
Honest am not the biggest ARR fan, but he's doing OK. Recent ones were not outstanding but some of the orchestration I really liked. Of course sometimes he sucks like that Anjanam song in Udhaya, crappy tune for SPB/SJ combo, maan, what a disappointment. But otherwise he's OK, too many albums releasing, so folks dont give him a decent hearing.

'Boys' is in big trouble. Shankar thought he can start a new trend with 'Boys'. But Thulluvatho Illamai over took 'Boys' and furthermore became a big hit and a trendsetter. Due to this, he realized his 'Boys' is going to be nothing new. The delay was reported due to his last minute change after seeing 'TI' and tons other new teenage/college flicks. Other reports were saying due to ARR who took such a long time and so far has only done 2 songs. He caused the delay for Shankar and also that gave another big headache for him as other producers came out with their own version of 'Boys' movies before the actual 'Boys'.

That should tell you about the validity of National Awards.
I think ARR won by sending off 5 tops from a cereal box.

Sam, are you with IR or with ARR or on the committee?

Believe me, there couldn't be another person less interested than IR when it comes to awards, peyar & pugzhal.
When he came to Singapore, he was asked a question on stage in front of the audiences abt awards and titles. He got quite unhappy and flatly said....
'All these titles I didn't ask for them. You give to me now and one day you will take it back. I didn't ask for all these titles."
He is really great. He could forsee long time ago abt the true color of some ppl who proclaim he's great and give all these titles. Very aptly said by him.
Coming to National Awards, unlike all the other desperates, do you think he cares or get affected by them?
Let's get back to the main topic.

You guys are a joke. Some of you don't even deserve to criticize ARR and you still do. No on has made a bigger impact in the Indian Music Industry than ARR. If this is the case; why are you constantly comparing ARR to some of the local MDs in TFM. ARR should only be compared to the likes on international artists.
If my memory serves correct; he's known as the "king of pop" in INDIA...
The king is still ruling.. and he is there to stay for years to come with his thrown still strong on top of his head...
ARR is the KING, so the outcasts please do not offend what the king has to offer; probably becasue you are not intellectual enough to appreciate his givings....
Some of the people in newtfmpage are resistant to change and too bad they live in a world where ARR is the KING.

Not always and untill recently the awards are not largely decided by votes. Its more of a concensus.
The influence of one people over other is always there.
My post there was not with an intention to belittle IR. With BM or with out IR deserved those awards and many more. My response was some what a personal one to adhi budhisaali SAM. Okay.

Hai Guys!
Iam new to this TFM page.Though I have read the queries, this is the first time Iam writing one.As far as TFM is considered,I only think that its future is good .As far as ARR is concerned I don’t know why he is not able to bring back his old magic. Here ARR , we don’t need your experimentations, but we need just your old music back.
I just wonder why he is not able to give songs like,
1.MARGAZHI POOVE-may madham
2.SONGS FROM THIRUDA THIRUDA
3.songs like MALARKALE MALARKALE FROM Love Birds.
And many more.
Songs from UDHAYA were good, but PARASURAM except KADAL VETTUKILI,MUPPATHU all the other songs were very ordinary.
What do you think friends for Iam a great ARR fan,our TFM needs good songs from him.I think he had lost interest in TFM????????
