YSR'S NEW PROJECT'S...

well i heard that his next flim would be with vijay n priyankachoupra staring in it
and the cd's will be out in july
and another one with prabhudeva staring in it n this will out in june i guess...
well more to come from him n i hope that he make's it big....

  Just now my brother called me and said 'Kadhal KoNdaen' is released today in TN, I will get the cassette tomorrow ! Will write again after listening to the songs !
  
  Tamilcinema.com's comments on YSR's music for PopCarn is really shocking, I sincerely believe He did a good job for PopCarn, atleast four (out of eight) songs were really good ! I haven't watched the movie to comment on the BGM Tho'

  Surprisinly, Vikay Yesudas's song seems to be the pick of the bunch. The orchestration is amazing and the melody is very haunting. However Vijay may not have been the correct choice for this song. It would have been neter sung by UK or HH in my opinion. I am not very impressed by Vijay's voice.

  wonderful team work again..kaadhal kondaen is not an ordinary album..music arrangements and the tunes are really world class..i wish yuvan to repeat the same with his other projects..this is ofcourse the best album the last few years and the years to come..

  I feel 'Kaadhal KoNdaen' is a decent album, May grow on you after more listenings,
  
  I liked 'Devathai' song first time itself, Other good songs IMO are Manadu ReNdum and Nenjodu kalanthidu, Vijay Yesudoss's song is good, But reminds me some old song of YSR (Sollaamal thottu sellum thendRal ? I am not sure !), '18 vayathil' could be a chart top-per ...
  
  One good thing is, almost all the singers have pronounced tamil properly and the lyrics are above average I must say - Well done Na. Muthukumar and PazhaniBharathi (Esp. the first two songs !!!)

  well,kaadhal kondaen is definitely the best album in the recent years..i am surprised to hear it is decent..it is just what tamil music fans wanted..particularly i am tired of listening to almost same kind of songs in every film releasing..same arrangements,same commercial aspects..etc..etc..
  where this album is very fresh and has its own class and style..it is not normal in any place..tunes are catchy where they arranged the music in symphony kind of style..every bgm has its beginning ,middle and end..the music director used lot of violins ..the sound of piano occasionally just melts your heart..and i think first time some one used the haunting bagpiper..lyrics are just wonderful..i listen to music for some years and friends i can say this album is really wonderful..

  The song by Vijay Yesudas sounds to me like a song from the album "Blast" though I am not able to tell which one it is.After a few listenings I might be able to tell.

  Another splendid album from the young genius. YSR never veases to amaze me! Nenjodu is spectacular, Kathal mattu is melodious,18 vayathil is peppy! Need I say more.

  It is a OK album.Nothing very great about it.
  The positive thing about this album is there is a marked change in music orchestration-an improvement compared to his previous works
  "thottu thottu" (7/10)
  harish no doubt has a very good voice.But it seems as if he had to strain very much for the song "Thottu Thottu".The music arrangement reminds you of vidyasagar songs though.
  
  "18 vayathil"(5.5/10) -
  yuvan should stop singing fullstop :-).
  
  "devathaiyai kanden"(7/10)- same strained voice of harish.it looks as if the tune was composed when the MD yuvan was sleeping.There is nothing extraordinary about the tune.
  Theme Music (!!!) (4/10)
  Nowadays,it has become a fashion to have a theme music for every film. This film is no exception .The theme music just leaves you confused wondering what it is all about! The theme music should be able to convey something like say the love story theme from 1970s classic "love story" or the matrix theme music which was eclectic in nature.I am sure that the director of the film would have said "yuvan,oru theme music ethavathu irundha
  nalla irukkum".Summa oru random tune pottutu theme musicnu solrathu ,aniyayam!!!!At least if the random tune was good,one could appreciate it.But this tune was pathetic..!
  
  
  "manasu rendum"(8/10)-The song starts really well .shankar mahadevan has done his best.But the tune is sooo unimaginative! It is like ...take a english song..appadiye tunea copy adichu potta mathri irukku..:-)).ithukku ethukku yuvan?!
  
  "nenjodu"(9/10) - piano piece in the beginning is really good.it starts really well..i thot it was a really good song..good vocals...#1 song in the album.
  
  "kathal mattum .."(8/10)-good song..but would have been much better if unni menon had sung i suppose.

  well,dear chandler,i think you are listening to all the latest tamil songs..and can you tell me what is your standard of music..we live here and we all know what kind of music we hear..go listen to kaadhal kondaen again and write a honest review..this is really a good album and we should appreciate the efforts..may be you are right about the theme but the rest ..you are wrong..this is his best..yuvans best..we always have the habit of whining when some one gives his best..right? he copied that or this..stop being sarcastic and appreciate the work..if he had copied can you point out the original? i have been listening to music for the past twenty eight years..real world music..i travel all over the world..and i can say he did not copy from anywhere..may be some similarities..overall,i think kaadhal kondaen is the best in the recent years..please dont pull your fellow tamilian's leg when he does a wonderful job..guys..listen to it and i welcome your opinion on it..

  i am a big fan of tamil music.I listen to all kinds of music..hindi,english,tamil .In fact, i give preference to tfm compared to any kind of music .Yuvan is extremely talented and I would even say that he is better than Karthik Raja.Please see my comments for the last two songs.(nenjodu and kaadhal mattum).Be it Rahman or Ilayaraja or Yuvan, i believe that importance should be given to music rather than the person.In fact,his recent albums like nandhaa and april mathathil were big hits and i liked it very much.In an album which has 5 songs,3 are good and 1 ok and 1 bad...So i think there is nothing wrong in praising him for the good songs and criticizing him for the bad songs.I also strongly believe that music is beyond boundaries.Just because he is a fellow tamilian ,it doesnt necessarily mean that I should not criticise bad music.I didnt say that nobody should listen to his music.It was just my opinions.Some might agree.Some might not.It is like the movie reviews you find in Sify or Rediff.For example, anbe sivam which was praised as Kamal's best by Hindu,Vikatan,and Kumudam got really bad reviews in Sify and Rediff.

  I was eagerly looking fwd to this album and it sucks. oru paatukooda super nnu solla mudiyathu. kashta pattu vena, YSR kkaga, we can listen to a couple of songs.
  
  YSR has been given enough chances. He just hasnt been able to produce a GREAT ALBUM - that has 3/4 great songs, and the rest are OK songs. Consistently he has been giving 3 OK songs and 2 duds and 1 horrible song(it so happens that he always sings that one).. theme music onnu thaan kedu intha album kku.
