Hi musiclovers!!!

newtfmpage has been a nice place for people to share what they know with each other. Many people help you with what you want and become your pals.

But how many of these faces have you seen?

How many have you met in person?

How many have you atleast spoken to over phone?

How many have you chat with on a Messenger?

How many have you atleast mailed?!

Get-togethers happen every now and then. I can see people shaking their heads violently in disagreement, but they do happen! Atleast ONE major get-together has happened to my knowledge.

  Finally so many things happened! The long awaited DFers meet happened after six months. It happened last time during my study holidays in November. Again, now, during my study holidays! What does this suggest? I don't study! :-)
  
  I don't think anybody else is coming up with a summary. So I'll go about it elaborately. Bore adikkama irukka - "All the Best"!
  
  We guys had actually planned for a meet on Saturday at Elliots Beach. But then Kuil had to leave today, so we had it before he left. Naalaikku vechirundha Kuilukku rekkai molaichirukkum and Kuil parandhu poirukkum! It all began when Kuil called me up on Tuesday and Prabhu on Wednesday saying that Friday would suit both of them. I had called up Rajasaranam and Suresh on that same day and they said they would definitely make it to the meet. Also chat with Maverick and Magix and they said they would come too. Raj called me up on Thursday and said he would come too, but unfortunately he did not turn up. He called me up half an hour before the meet and said he was coming to DriveIn, but we never spotted him at DriveIn. Perhaps he was there and we did not know. :-(
  
  A nice comedy which happened today. Thankfully before the meet!!(on Yahoo chat)...
  Kuil : I have to board the bus at Egmore. Woodlands Theater Triplicane-la irukkae. Dhooram-la.
  C~P : What?? Theater? Triplicane? Woodlands DriveIn pa.
  Kuil : Adhu theater pakkathula irukkara hotel dhaaney?
  C~P : Naeththi theiyum-nu thalai aatittu ippo kaekkara kelviya idhu? American Consulate...Anna FlyOver....Stella Maris...idhu pakkathula pa "Woodlands Drive In".
  Kuil : OOPS. Appadiya. Pudhusa start pannirukkangala?
  C~P : Illai. Poana varusham varaikkum neenga sonna edathula irundhuchu. Indha varusham Hanuman appoint panni Sanjeevi Malai maadhiri thookki vechirukkanga!
  C~P : Evalo varushama irukkupa anga! Pudhusa kaekkareenga!! Nalla vaelai ippovaadhu kaeteenga!

  Another comedy that happened half an hour before the meet. I had been confusing people here saying that there was no meet and went to the extent of posting a detailed message as to why each person did not turn up. So I had a mail from Saravanan asking me if there was a meet or not!! Even GCTKuil told me during the meet that the message confused him and he thought there was no meet!! Naan senja ul naattu sadhi dhaan idhellam. Mannikkavum! :-)
  
  I was the first person to reach the place. I was there at 4:00 exact, much to my own surprise. This is very unusual for me! I was looking at each and every person around trying to spot some familiar face. I hadn't seen Maverick before the meet but he had my pic. So I just wanted to make sure he wasn't spying around. There was one guy who seemed to be waiting for somebody. But then Ferrari had described Maverick and I found the "Kudikaaran Kannu" lacking in that person. So, that couldn't be Maverick! Ippadi oru 5-10 mins ulavikittu irundhaen until there was White Zen in which Suresh arrived. I was being bored to death. Thoughts like "What if the others don't come? Saravanan thittuvaarey" (!! :P) were crossing my mind. Suresh suggested that we go inside the restaurant and wait for the others. We sat there for sometime and he had Coffee in the meanwhile, talking briefly about the state of newtfmpage. He was sad when he learnt that there were no ARR Vs IR fights. Nallamansukaarar. Got back outside and continued our wait.

  GCT_Kuil paththi pesikittae irukkarchae, oru familiar face. He should be thankful to me. Ennoda indha timing naala he would now live for 100 years. Atleast paechukkavadhu appadi dhaan solluvaanga!! Kuil had seen me earlier (pic!) and he walked towards us with potti padukkai - oorukku poraar-la, adhaan directorial touch...chi..kadhai ezhudhina hangover-la sollittaen! We found a nice place, below a tree, to sit down and have a small chat before the others turned up. Had a hearty laugh when I mentioned about Kuil's knowledge about Woodlands Drive In near Woodlands Theater in Triplicane! Also talked about "Prabhu koduththa Halwa". That's how Kuil described it when I told him Prabhu had some work to do. Kuil said he was going to teach something to some kids - IP course edhaavadhu irukkuma? Illai kootam saerthu varusiya B'day memorise panraara? Gotta be one of the two definitely. It was nice to know that people like Kuil also read through "my" kinda threads! :-) Just then I spot a small fellow looking around for someone with a cell phone in his hand. Nadandhukittae etti etti paarthukittu irundhaan. Familiar face - magix dhaan. Two years I've been chatting with him and I hadn't met him! I walked towards him and he was peeping into the restaurant standing some 10 feet away from it. He recognised me. Correct, photo dhaan. Ennavo cinema poster maadhiri ellarum paarthirukkanga! Got back to the same old marathadi. Kutti kutti intros and that's it. IR BGM maadhiri konjam silent passages vittuttom. We almost lost hopes that Raj would arrive. That just left us with two more people - Rajasaranam and Maverick. Rajasaranam had just called and informed that he would be coming in another half hour. We tried to reach Maverick, but there was no response. He called up back though and told us that he would be here in 10 mins.
  
  A guy wearing a red T-Shirt walked into the restaurant. Something told me that was Maverick. Ulla porathukku munnadi oru look vittaru enga pakkam and then walked staright inside. Change maathinaaraam, for auto! :-) Walked straight towards us. "C~P dhaanae?". I knew the voice coz I've spoken to him over phone on numerous occasions. And the normal intros followed. Maverick had bought Ferrari along - oru red Ferrari T-Shirt! :-) Ferrari had sent it on his behalf. Idhellam over-a theriyala?! Ferrari called up and we guys spoke to him over phone. Err...he had also sent an SMS - a message to pass on to me, that shall be kept confidential! :-) Saravanan called up next. Was surprised to learn that Magix had come for the meet. But then, their conversation was telepathic it seems. Both of them just stayed silent. Magix-kaavadhu paavam sore throat, but why din Sara talk? Meet nadandha sandhoshathula loss of words-o? ;-)
  
  GCT_Kuil had brought a digi cam. Pretty much similar to LLD's. So that actually scared us all! LLD camera maadhiri ManiRatnam effect-la photo vandha? Naasthi-la? That's why I insisted that he himself take a snap first. Thappaana, edhuvum solla mudiyaadhu paarunga! :P Maverick brought a CamCorder. (I know that works pretty fine coz he sed the video has come out fine when he called me up after he reached home...nimmadhi!) Magix and myself also posed with Ferrari's T-Shirt - ennavo "Schumi and Rubi maathiri"-nu Maverick sonnaru! Indha big marathadi photo session mudinja appuram Maverick was insisting that we go inside. Edho suspicion-a look vittaen, change maatha porachae nething, nebody?? Onnum illainu dhaan sonnaru kaetathukku! :-)
  
  Ulla poi food order ellam panninom. Rajasaranam also joined us now. Rajasaranathoda uyir "nanban" Ferrari-kku Maverick phone poattu koduththu, adhai photo ellam eduththaru! Last time, people wanted to know what we had...so here's the list...

  Maverick ippo dhaan velaiya kaattinaaru. Paavam manushan suththi suththi photo eduththaaru! We had all finished eating, but Rajasaranam arrived-a bit late and was still eating. Idhai Maverick 360 degree-um suththi eduththar. Trolley irundha easy-a irundhirukkum. Anegama Matrix Time Slice Shots maadhiri vandhaalum aacharya padarthukku illai! Ale Ale paattula Shankar use panninadhukku appuram, India-la Maverick dhaan eduthirukkaru! :-) And I don't know why everybody has to repeat the "poonai and paal" dialogue. Naan enna avalo kaedithanama-va post panraen? Innocent pa naan, kallam kabadam illadha manasu..ellam sirupullai thanam dhaan. Ennai inimae appadi paakaatheenga! :P
  
  Maverick and myself were arguing about the heroine of Kuthu as though our life depended on it! Just about what her name was, vaera edhuvum illai, naan nalla payyan :-) Amidst this serious, ahem, arguement Kuil wanted to know if Ramya Krishnan acted in the film. Illai-nu sonnom. April14 releases paththi pesittu irundhom. Marupadiyum adhae question - "Ramya Krishnan nadichirukkala?". Nakkal look vittu illai-nu sonnom. Rajasaranam was talking about "WoodlandsDiveIn" being a "pickup" area, if you know what I mean. Kuil perfect timing-oda oru deadly question - "Ramya Krishnan irukkala?"...Maverick paavam aadi poittaru. Bangalore-la dhaemaennu Software Engineer-a irukkaravar kitta ennalamo kaetta?! :-)
  
  Maverick just casually commented that he did not get a ticket to Bangalore this Sunday. Udanae Suresh "Do you want it? I'll get it for you. You can just collect it directly at the station" appdinu solla, Maverick orey muzhichings. He remarked "newtfmpage summa solla koodaathuya, kandippa edho use irukku". This just was an apt situation for me to stress the time I spend in this website! ;-)
  
  Actually when I did not get the tickets to "Gothika" today at Satyam, I thought of calling up Suresh. Oru call pannina podhumae, naan naera theaterkulla poidalaamnu paarthaen!! ;-)) But then I had his number only at home. :-(

  Another incident, that we did not talk much about at Woodlands. Magix was getting some phone calls now and then. Ella phone call-kum Table keezha poi pesuvaan. Naan ennavo en kaal thottu aasirvaadham vaangaraannu nenaikkara alavukku sandhosham ellam pattaen! :P I couldn't actually listen to what he was talking. But then Maverick told me over phone that he was talking in HINDI. What the?! Magix yaen Hindi pesanum? Veettu aalungala irundha Thamizh-la pesuvaan, ok. But HINDI pesara alavukku enna friendship? Indha Sonali, Rupali, Peruchaali range-la edhaachum irukkumo? Tholakki thuppanum...chi...thuppu tholakkanum!! Indha azhagula enna kindal panraen paervazhinnu Shwetha Shwetha-nu slight BGM kudthittu irundhaan! Naan aval illai! :-)
  
  Meet without discussing about newtfmpage-a? Talked about it all through the meet. GCT_Kuil had to leave inbetween. Had to board a bus. Laughed it out over the incidents that happened at newtfmpage...
  1) Started off with "Why No Female Participation Thread" and some "controversies" which arose there that I do not wish to refresh! :-)
  2) Messages at singer's fan threads - Karthik fans enter here and stuff.
  3) "Karthik Photos" thread which is now extinct - that stayed only for a day. Maverick and myself managed to get it to 3 Old Responses! We had given them some Karthik's pic from google! :-)
  4) TiS thread, at present, is simply hilarious. RajaG veluththu vaanging! - "I wish SSSA would also sponsor Kamal's Maruthanayagam. Since Kamal's movies have 'onnukku pora' scene, $50 maela kodukkaravanga Kamal-oda onnukku pogalaamnu offer"!! :-))
  5) Recording Techniques thread,currently alive - that lists down how MDs record a song! ;-)
  6) Aayidha Ezhuththu thread - discussions about how songs were picturised - Comments like "Dol Dol would be played when Meera Jamine concieves" triggering of a great discussion!
  7) Vishamus Maximus' job in the MunnaBhaiMBBS thread! :-))
  8) Prashanth's BHOOTH thread which is now an alias for the Aayidha Ezhuththu thread.
  9) E20 U18 thread - All the food talk triggered off by LLD! :-)
  10) Rajasaranam and Thiru's Masala Recipes.
  
  En memory ivalo dhaanpa. Prabhu wud know more about what we talked. Eppadinu ellam kaekka koodathu, by default he has got a good memory!
  
  I once again had to reassure people that I ain't Shwetha. Yaarum nambara maadhiri theriyala! :-)
  Rajasaranam also came up with a great finding that LLD and Nisha were the same people - that took Magix and myself by surprise! Engaendhu thonicho theriyala avarukku. Paavam LLD!! :-) We also talked about some LLD thillu mullus! ;-)
  Rajasaranam also said that curryleaf is not a girl. Magix and myself disagreed. Ellarukkum orae santhega budhdhi pa!
  
  There were small talks about ARR and IR with Rajasaranam refusing to accept anything. Suresh like AE very much though. We all felt, however, that the choice of singers wasn't all that good in AE. That led us to talk about Udit Narayan, Sukhwinder Singh, Sadhana Sargam and other such singers who have a great pronounciation - Thamizh illa, vaera language! Appadiye oru step further poi April14 releases ellam list panni pesinom. Suresh wanted to watch Gilli badly! That reminded us about Paran - Trisha paithiyam Paran, avaroda Blue Jersey, Komalas-la nadakka irundha meet for which Paran posted in the thread 5 mins before the meet saying he wouldn't be coming and all such important incidents! PBS-a paarthu we were reminded of Saravanan again. During the last meet PBS asked Saravanan if a particular song was actually sung by him (PBS)!! :-))
  
  The meet also helped us know about certain films. Rajasaranam was sad that IR's Konji Pesalaam was taken in such a horrible manner and the movie did not even run for 1 week. This helped Suresh know that the movie was actually released!
  
  We also talked about Bharatiraja's kooththu. Vellai Devadhaigala inni muttum vidala avaru. Pinnadi odikinae irukkanga. Manoj vechu padam edukka aaramichadhulerundhu ivarukku direction poachu. Manjoku ofcourse ennikumae acting-o market-o irundhadhu kidayaadhu, nuthing new.
  
  Went outside and were talking for a while about Cricket matches and films. Maverick said that the Rawalpindi pitch was like a garden! We also talked about Kris Srikkanth's bahuth achchey Hindi comments. Endha dheiriyathula pesaraaro theriyala! Set Top Box troubles ellam paththi pesinom. Some fun about Vijaykant films. Then talked about stereo-type DFers - xml with his links, Naatamai with his thundu etc etc.
  
  Rajni padam. Talked about this too.
  Suresh : "Enakku enna puriyala-na kadhai kaekkaraaram Rajni ovvoru director kittayum. Ivar padathula ennikku kadhai irundhirukku?"
  Magix : hehe

  Magix : hehe
  Rajsaranam : "2000 varushama uyiroda irundhavara oru padathula konnuttaru."
  Magix : hehe!! ;-)
  
  Magix was silent throughout the meet. I could hear him breathe now and then! That recorded the maximum decibel, from his side! I wasn't as silent was last time. Edho konjam vaaya thorandhaen. Why? Pesinadhu more vetti paechu than TFM! :-)
  
  Suresh dropped Maverick, Magix and Rajasaranam and I left in my oattai vandi! During the drive it seems there were some conversations which Magix told me...
  Rajasaranam challenged that ARR fans won't be able to post now. Coz tamil films mudinju poachu. Maverick and Curses accepted the challenge. (Enna dheiriyathula savaal vittaro...ARR-a vittu naanga post panninadhae illiya enna?! :P)
  
  That is it! The meet concluded. And I don't think there can be a bigger summary than this one! Kadhai ezhudhi ezhudhi ippadi aayiduchu. Inimae short story ezhutha kaththukanum! :-)
