Good Song - Picturized Badly

At some pt of time every body wud have felt that
the song was picturized very badly...and a good song has been wasted...

i felt very bad for this v v v good song of IR in the film "Selvi"....

Song was "Ila manathu"....i think the director Ramanarayan (am not sure)...used this song for a dog duet...

people can think differently...but not to this extent...

ur comments and feelings on this topic...and what songs?

  I noticed something as I was going through this thread... someone said about BABA songs... It wasnt so bad, the songs seemed better in the movie than listening to it alone

  shankar mahadevan dancing for "Thaniye.. Thananthniye".. sahikala...
  There has been instances where i threw away a CD out on the freeway after watching the song visually.. i would have liked the song so much.. once i saw the picturization.. that was the end of the CD !!
  eg.. muthu, padayappa and ofcourse, rythm.

  I think one of the most disappointing picturizations I have seen was in that magic PBS solo in "Hello Mr Zamindar" - "Illamai kolu viriukum". Just listen to the song on tape - I felt it to be a "nature song"- misty mountains, green everywhere, and Gemini walking/riding along..
  
  And to my utter chagrin, I sound that it was picturized with Gemini surrounded by girls in a swimming pool !!! YUCK !!

  **digression** i have come to hate all songs which are picturized outside of India!!..
  
  1. amul baby.. What a Song! and Vijayakant up holding our heritage on the streets of london..
  
  2. Ennoda Laila - yuck, Vijay (most of his songs) with his arai douser dancing in zurich and the alps.
  
  In Most of these songs, ppl are on weird costumes and in general behave like complete idiots..it shows the bad taste of those involved in choreography, imho.. and Is there some kind of unwritten rule that blondes have to dance around our men?

  Boysa enka vaikadhe tops the chart for pathetic picturisation.
  
  Followed by "Enakkoru girl friend venum" song.

  mudhal kanavae mudhal kanavae form that stupid movie Majnu was picturised very badly

  Nejam Ellam from AE was picturized just fine.It slowed down the mood and made the shooting of surya to be a "shock" i guess ppl keep forgetting this movie isnt suppose to have songs and the music is suppose to gel with the story.

  and you have to thank piratheepan for not telling that surya will be shot by mathavan at the very first scene and the story infact swings back and forth in time from this point to narrate the version of each of them.

  the song Anjanam - Udhaya was picturised badly,the dance is not following the song,even the costumes,& also thier lips movement..i think the dance were tooken by some other movie & just played in the movie udhaya to fillup the song...

  nenjam ellam wasnt a song for u to dance to be picturised,Mani did the best thing,very perfectly he picturised the song,like she's singgin in her heart while walking & same goes to surya..u dun expect them to dance in a field,wearing shining cloths & hopping here & there for that kinda song!
