The idea of creating a web site for P. Susheela evolved in the threads
'P. Susheela solos' and 'P. Susheela fans". After 6 months of efforts
from many PS fans, the site is ready for launch as a gift from all of us
on P. Susheela's birthday on Nov 13. The URL is
http://psusheela.org
Your input in the form of feedback and any material such as photos,
artilces, and such is appreciated.


A small function has been arranged in Chennai on that day. Here are teh
details

Date: 13-11-2003
Venue: G.R.T. Grand Days(in b/t teynampet - Pondybazar)
Time: 11.00 a.m

Guests : Mellisai Mannargal M.S. Viswanathan and T.K. Ramamoorthy,
some other celebrities(not finalized)

We invite you all (particularly people in Chennai,Bangalore,Kerala &
Andhra) to attend this and make this function a Great Success

  Fantastic idea and the site looks fabulous. Reasonably detailed. The time and efforts that went into the making of this much deserving site are evident. Particularly the links to the stuff in various languages are amazing. I really liked it.
  
  Just a minor correction to a couple of things in the awards section of the site. There are a couple of spelling errors - The third award is for the song "Jhummandi naadam" and not "chummanthi naatham". The award from Meghasandesham is for "aakulo aakunai" -there is a spelling error here too.
  
  Otherwise, the site looks wonderful.
  Congrats on the function and all of that. She deserved this website long time ago - better late than never!

  No, not for ' nenjam maRappadhillai'. The first time, an award for Best Playback Singer was instituted in 1969 and PS won it for 'naalai intha velai' song.

  Raj tells me that T.K. Ramamoorthy, PBS and Vaamanan have confirmed their attendance. Reporters from Radio/TV stations and newspapers have also been invited.

  Starting 1 AM (Nov 13)Singapore time, Oli FM has been playing some PS songs mentioning her birthday and the launch of her web site.
  
  Those in Chennai will be able to listen to special programmes on 13th as below.
  
  -- Mirchi GOLD is having special programmes and an
  interview as well. It will be surprise and in Mirchi style, different from the normal ones.
  
  -- Suryan FM will announce the wishes and relay some songs
  
  -- AIR Rainbow FM is having a PS solos for an hour in "Kaalathai vendra Gaanangal".

  the function went on very well! MSV & TKR were the chief guests. PBS speech made the function more memorable.
  Everyone was happy including PS. I hope U can the event in vijay TV news at 6-30 pm and also in 11 pm.

  sure. we would definitely use them. Thanks for coming forward.
  It is only the beginning for the site. We are still discussing what all can go into the site.
  One of our aims is to compile a list of all her songs!
  As sk suggested, we want this thread to bring in a lot of information, statistics, articles, pictures, etc., that can go on to the site.

  kalai, Raj, Adhepalli Rajagopal and I were primarily involved so far. Kalai and I did the development of the site. Adhepalli gave us clippings from newpapapers and magazines that he has saved from more than 20 years ago in addition to what Kalai and Raj had. We had used feedback from the yahoo group discussions from sk, Palanikumar and many others. We had used information from various postings in newtfmpage, yahoo groups, Rare Songs series (will be online soon) from sk.
  The people behind the function at Chennai are Adhepalli, Raj and Kalai.
