Melody Queen of South Indian Film MUsic - Is it Janaki or Susheela or Vani or Chitra?

Who can be conferred as the Melody Queen of South Indian FIlm Music .
Is it S.Janaki or P.Susheela or Chitra or Vani Jayram..?
I think Janaki is the best of all and she should be conferred as the Melody Queen of South Indian Music

  Like that also, I have not quoted songs except one, which again, I am saying, happened by mistake and purely unintentional.

  Anyway, it stands that the humming done by LRE in that song "Kalellaam Maanikka Kal Aaguma Kalayellam Kangal Sollum Kalai Aaguma..." from "Aalayamani" is very good.

  Wow Mr.Kumarr, you are truly an isai rasigan. I liked your PS list. True - SJ is suited for more mimics kind of songs. Maybe having got used to PS for more of melody, such fast/different numbers dont seem to impress upon the listeners. But I do have to agree that when to comes to miming, SJ does a good job but while singing normally, I cannot regard the way her voice changes in different pitches. Somehow, that does seem of a true singer - well its only my opinion - no offenses meant.
  
  Again, Mr.Kumarr, you were very true in saying that Ilangai vaanoli used to play real good and rare good hardly heard on any other channels. Even the commentary used to be so lively and *informative*. I still remember a few names like Rajeshwari Shanmugam, Bhuvanalochani, Abdul Hameed and others.

  A real music lover can't say that p.s voice is flat.This kind of words are not only against music but it is against god also because p.s is a godgifted singer,speaking against that gift means it is against divinity.Overfantacy can leed a person towards false sayings,there is no need of those person's certificates for p.s.she is better than the best.

  Yes Mr. Ravi, Elangai Vaanoli, is a leader in airing old songs and their commentary is more livelier than even our Vaanolis in TN.
  
  "Ippadi Ore Thaalaattu Paadavaa; Adhil Appadiae En Kadhayai Kooravaa; Adhil Appadiyae En Kadhayai Kooravaa" is another master-piece by SJ
  
  Her rendition in that song is simply superb.
  
  Take "Azhagukkum Malarukkum Jaadhi Illai Nenjil Aasaikkum Uravakkum Bedham Illai..."; It is another good piece from SJ.
  
  SJ, is simply the great.

  Kumarr, do you heard any kannada and Mallu songs of her. Becoz SJ was the Queen in both the languages. I have her lot of Mallu songs with me(I dont understand Malayalam) but still I love those songs. Her kannada songs are Mmmmmmmmmmmm too good. Esp duets with PBS and SPB and Rajkumar.

  Suseela is the melody queen of the world, what do you say...nenjukku nimmadhi aanadavan sannidhi oru song podhum...what a fluidity in her voice. Alattik koLLaada singing style. Like B S Sarika says, "P Susheela sings naturally". And, yes!!! Idaivida siranda vimarsanam thevaiya. To me no two songs of Suseela - especially in the 60's and the 1st half of the 70's have sounded alike.

  Mr.K, World is too big and it is not easy to explore.I think even India too, for that reason!
  Why don't we confine ourselves to giving the title as queen of south indian music, or at the most queen of Indian music to whoever it is?If I am told to state a personal view, I will say that PS is a great singer, but definitely not the melody queen at an Indian scenerio or even a south indian scenerio.
