All times in EST +10:30 for IST.
As I infer from many of the sites (including my own), it is not just the TFM which form the main content. There are others like Hindi, Malayalam,telegu etc..for which the webmasters would require a thread for announcements. This is only because there are a handful of multiligual audiences too, in the forum. Also are present a lot of people whose interests encroach into other film music domains. I just feel that this thread should suffice the need.
I hope this will just be the right thread for many webmastrs (velsree, rameshb, SK, Ravi in particular) who are trying to provide the older goldies of MDs other that IR.
Just wishing this thread will be sustained by the regular announcements.

My head got cut a week before yours. I kept
sending mail after mail to the webmaster and
finally he wrote and said.. "go get permission
for uploading the songs, from those who own the
rights. Then I will unlock your account."
But where do I go and catch kollangudi karuppaayee
of ANdipatti who owns all those songs from the
1940's and 1950's?
Tell me, roughly, how much memory space did you
use in xoom?

Let me count...I had 381 songs..If each takes roughly .7 mb, the 265 - 270 mb ! I know this is a whopping number..This is probably why they have locked it !

Exactly! You can consider starting an account in
afreehome.com where they give 50 Mb. You can keep
adding/deleting and sort of maintain a semi-static
collection. There is no other >999Mb sites like
xoom. There is some restriction or the other that
hinders you. BTW, how is that you have only .7Mb
for a song. My encodings are typically 2.5 times
that size!

You have a decent computer at home--You caould have very well had some backup fopr all those songs.
Although it might take sometime to upload it again--it has already caused damage to our drving force.
I would have appreciated if those guys had given us sometime to remove it by ourselves.

Actually I didn't care about the .rm files because
I had them stored in my computer here. But I was
worried about my html files. But I waded through
my Netscape cache and retrieved all of them. In
your case you can write to the webmaster and ask
him to get back all your files.. perhaps allow
you to do ftp for just one day!
