  The first film of the director of this film was given music by IR. All the songs and particularly BGM won great hits. And, those songs and BGM are available on the web.

  thanks for your appreciation. Our aim(myself and MS) is to list down all the films of IR and then all the melodious/popular songs from those films and also include links to those songs if they are there on the web.i have completed thesonglist from 1976-1982. things start getting tougher from now, as IR was really busy after 1982:))

  Thanks for the BGM clip, i liked the clip very much. The lead violin and group violins are very good. Esp when cello starts you have the group of violins following it, it is very nice to hear. Konjum abrupt aka nindra feeling varathu(expected of a BGM clip). IMO it is a trademark BGM piece of IR.
  
  Still unable to find the film in which this BGM piece occurs. Is it a Faazil film?

  Rex, MS, Balaji, Shibu, Vels, have you all forgotten Appoorva Saghotharargal songs and also Illamai Oonjaladigaruthu. I am also searching very hard for two rare songs:
  
  1. Andha Naal Gnyabagam Ippathaan Palithathu
  2. Uravugal Thodarkathai (KJY)
  
  Thank you guys for all the other songs. Busy here, will get back to listen more. Right now, I am continuing to be stuck to Rex' songs : Pesu Enn Anbe, Athi Kaalai Nerame, Kaalam Maralam; In Balaji and MS sites, I am still repeating Azhakaagu Sirithathu Endan Manathu, and the KJY duet in Yen Bommaikkutti Ammavukku.
  
  For those who have not heard a superbly different melody is the mallu song in MS site: Poonkaattinodum...
  in the movie Poomughapadiyil Ninaiyum Kaathum. It stands out. Everyone give it a hearing. Particularly Khandekar should listen to it. It will show IR is really under overrated.

  Most of the songs you have listed are good numbers. Some corrections
  1. 'Kanden Engum Poomagal Naatiyam ..' is from 'Kattrinile varum geetam'
  2. 'Then malli Poovey ' --- TMS and SJ
  There is an excellent Pathos song in this film.
  'Vasantha Kaala Kolangal, Vaanil ...' by SJ
  (some excellent lyrics by Kannadasan)
