Shankar with Harris Jayaraj

Hi gang,
This time i have got some spicy news as usual.
Shankar has booked harris jayaraj for his new movie with vikram in the lead.
Its a movie for oscar films.

  Guys,
  
  May be ARR is not available or something. ARR is too costly for Tamil films both in terms of money and time. So people go for next best alternative.
  
  I don't like ARR that much, but I think this news is made up by journalists. Shankar might have approached Harris for his next movie, but split between ARR and Shankar is B*Sh.

  I think shankar is gonna try and pull a quickie and make a movie with vikram to receive sum of his lost fans. and to do this he'll need an MD who'll hash together music quickly such as HJ, because haha only a few songs of his r actually original whereas teh rest r rehashes. So i feel if this news is tru its becuz Shankar wants a quick movie.
  
  And to whoeva thinks Shankar is a dud director well i feel those r the ones with no taste for cinema. Agreed that Boys didnt appeal to everyone, but look back at gentlemen,indian and mudhalvan nuthin can compare to those movies.

  anyway guys, few of you were not polite enough to participate in such threads.
  
  i just gave a news that i heard.
  now i will tell the reason. this is true as well.
  
  Rahman was very busy and was not available on shankar's call during boys. Rahman was interested in foreign projects than the ones in Tamil. Thats the reason why he was not able to do background score for Boys.
  
  Its really bad that shankar and rahman will not work together, at the same time it will be a challenge for HJ to prove himself in a bigger stage.
  
  I have another news from my side,
  Maniratnam's new movie in Hindi has no songs in it but two songs were recorded for his tamil version with rahman. My sources tell me that the both the songs are brilliant in usual Maniratnam Rahman combo.

  ARR DID score the BGM for Boyz, but here is the take; ayyapa sami song was composed by pravin mani on arr instructions, what instructions means only arr and pravin know, the other thing; the saidapettai song( tune) the boyz sing in jail was composed bynone other than shankar( tn most succesfull comercial director), but arr added the back ground to that song during re recording. These are true facts, even arr mentioned this, partly in an interview.
  Arr did have time constrains, during boyz, but it wasnt his prob, it was shankars mistake, he over exceeded his time limit for the movie, due to thulluvatho illamai similarity. Infact during this time, if boyz was taken according to original plans, he should have now commenced robo with kamal. but i cant confirm what dhinesh said abt the song composed.
  Shankar is getting ready for his next movie, discussions are going on with vikram, this movie is not robo but another pucca comercial movie that shankar thought out sometime ago during boyz shooting. Well there are doubts about the music director because arr does not have time for the quicky, but he has recommended Vidyasagar to shankar, who has agreed, but shankar is willing to wait for arr so he can de robo with vikram instead of this commercial film.
  
  By the way reason for arr not attending boyz function is that he was doing the last minute things mixing for WOHAE.

  I read on the net today that Kalaipuli Dhanu is planning to take Kaaka Kaaka to Hollywood. Goutham, HJ and Dhanu are flying to the uS today to discuss the original script. What I have to ask is, when did Kaaka Kaaka become an orginal script?The climax is from Seven, the story is from the Usual suspects, The music is probably from somewhere in ARR's olden tracks.

  Rahman and me are in the same age group and we grew up together in the industry. We share an excellent rapport, as he knows what I want in a particular song situation. I explain each song in detail, the backdrop, costume and the camera angle, to him. He always gives me the right tune for the situation.

  A: What I like in Rahman is his fighting spirit and 'never say die attitude'. For example I wanted a song with the theme "smile" and the lyrics were written and the composing done but somehow I was not feeling very comfortable with the end product.
  Something was lacking and Rahman too felt the same. Then I got the idea of a song with the theme "no" and this excited me so much that I was very satisfied with what was created finally. Rahman has given a lot of folk music for this film. We have seen to it that the music caters to people of all ages and tastes.

  but my feeling still stands the same, that if the news is true its becuz shankar wants a quickie to ge back his fans and since rahman is busy for a lil bit he mite use anotha director who is fast like HJ becuz they(HJ,HJ & HJ) just rehash.
  
  but hopefully ARR will find sumtime for the project if not oh well music is nto the important in a shankar movie, it just adds to teh exceptional stories he tells. if ARR cant do music he should just do the movie without songs

  My one cent on this:
  
  Pravin Mani had posted a messageon ARRahman fans yahoo group confirming that it was ARR who scored the BGM. He (Pravin) just arranged the song based on instructions from ARR....And another source close to Pravin Mani, confirmed in Rahman Fans group that it was Pravin Mani indeed who wrote the email..   Now my question is, did you really watch the movie seven? I think you didn't understand the climax of it, that was brilliant and KK is just another masala movie (but ok screenplay compared to other tamil movies coming out now) where hero wins and zero fails.
