Vangonna Ada Vangonna used to be quite popular. I also recall another song which goes like "Ayyar Aatthu Ponnu Sonna Kettukkoda Ambi"
Of course, the quintessential one is
"Adutthatthu Ambujatthaip Patthela"
Any more ?

Manmadan Ratchikkanum is from Oru Thalai Ragam. This has no brahmin dialect!
The songlist:

There's a song in a `never released' film -IlayarAjAvin rasigai- which used to be broadcast in SLBC. The song goes like this:
`entha Athuppaiyanavan, yAru peththa sella mahan
pudichchu badavAve izhuththu vAren pAru, aduththu dhandanaiyum thAren pAru..'
This has many typical terms like `thOppanAru Panjabakesan' `kittu mAmA' etc.
This song is sung by MV/SPS & music by IR

Brahmin dialect songs? Is it necessary to have such a topic.
How did these ppl. develop such a dialect. Criticise Sanskrit and
they go blue. If you speak proper tamil they try to teach you improper one. Wherever they go they pollute. This is tamil film
music page and not something catering to a prjudiced group.

This is (a)tamil film music page and not something catering to a pr(e)judiced group.
My sentiments exactly. Since this doesn't cater to any group's prejudice, why should it cater to yours, MS?
This is a public forum where anyone can start a topic on any subject of their interest as long as it's within the realms of TFM.
Please don't bring the brahmin/anti-brahmin, who's an Aryan? who's a Hiranyan? hot air topics here. Hasn't the forumhub been mired enough with this? Do you have to bring it here and pollute this nearly democratic forum too?
This is not the place to air any militant thoughts that don't deal with music (it's bad enough we get enough militant thoughts here about music). The curse of every earnest revolution is the misbegotten militants it attracts.
Spread the peace or at least get out of its way.

The first time I read the title I almost lost control of myself. I do not know what this forum aims at. I think it is just a means of entertainment. "Brahmin dialect songs" at its root caters to a specific group in a secular or democratic setting. You know what I mean. Do you think that a non Brahmin will ever enter here. Never!(unless he has something strong to say). It only attracts all Brahmins to form a nexus. I am not against this. But as you have pointed out that this is a "public" forum, only general topics should be allowed to
exist. This topic is based on caste discrmination, next it
could possibly be on religion. Then this forum would just be a meeting place of a select group. Where would unity be then. Communal feeling would be stronger. In India only in
Tamil Nadu the Brahmins are so mad about caste. There is open discrimination in every walks of life. You said I polluted this "nearly democratic forum". A contradicting statement. Either you do not know the meaning of democracy or that your ideas about democracy are vague. You said I am instigating militant thoughts. Does giving ones views about a particular topic something militant. I had come to
this site to have a nice time but was forced to write some thing not concerned with music. Nowhere you will find such a militant topic as "Brahmin dialect songs". All the sites I have visited (on music, songs) be it hindi or tamil I have not had such an encounter. "Spread the peace" is what I have to tell you. My point is clear : "I DO NOT INTEND TO DENIGRATE THE BRAHMINS BUT A TOPIC LIKE THIS
IN PUBLIC IS BOUND TO STRENGTHEN LINGUISTIC AND COMMUNAL FEELINGS". Udaya thankx for correcting the spelling and the grammer check (you only look at tbe mistakes and when
you get the crux of the matter how does the spelling matter after it is not an examination). I also sometimes
use MS in place M.Sridharan. So there need not be any confusion. I was not aware of Murali Shankar who incidently is also using MS.

puratchi Onguga, vaRatchi neenguga !
Mr.Sridharan,
"The first time I read the title I almost lost control of myself"
May be you did the second time too :-)
"Do you think that a non Brahmin will ever enter here. Never!(unless he has something strong to say)."
Yes I do think they will ! Infact they had already posted ! Believe me - they are here !
"In India only in Tamil Nadu the Brahmins are so mad about caste "
Statistical sampling paNNineengaLAa ? :-) anyway how does one measure the level of madness ? :-) To my knowledge, there had been no fighting in this regard in the forum since I came. (Enakku therinja 3 caste MSVism, IRism and ARRism) avLo than. ithukku mEla inga yaarum saNdai pOtta maathiri theriyalai.
Mad about caste ? You are wrong, grossly ! If some of the regular (brahmin) forumers had been so, IR will be their last choice and ARR their foremost (Mr Dilip Kumar was a Brahmin)! But to me it looks as if it were the 'mad' brahmins who are thrashing ARR in and out in this forum ! Many times he had been beaten to death ! So your point that this discussion shall degenerate into a communal clash, is consummately fantastic !
"Do you think that a non Brahmin will ever enter here. Never!(unless he has something strong to say)."
You are wrong. Some of the posts here are from my friends who do not happen to be "mad brahmins".
Finally:
kaameshwara Iyerai paarhthu rasikkira koottaththilE neenga communal riots paththi pEsareenga ! ithu verum rasanaik koottam thaan. raNakaLAththai uNdu seyyum koottam alla ! SO please sit back, cool, relax a bit, take a deep breath and contribute ! anaavasiyamaa manasai kuzappikkaatheenga !
