Best of Respective MDs

I hope to get a list of everyone's favorites of the various MDs' albums. This can range from the very old to recent times.

For various reasons, I would like to exclude the following MDs:
1. Ilayaraja & Viswanathan-Ramamoorthy, for the reasons that they have been listed in many threads, and let's face it: almost all their songs are guaranteed to please at least a section of the TFM-DF posters. :-))
My own list of IR-favourites could easily be about 100!
2. A.R. Rahman, so that there are no controversies. :-))

That still would leave us with plenty of MDs: Eg. Datchanamoorthy and KV Mahadevan of yonder days, Shankar-Ganesh and V. Kumar of recent past and Vidhyasaagar & Deva of recent times.

  I know that we have done a different form of this - all good songs in one movie, but this time we can classify according to the MD.
  
  As an example, I find that Deva has excelled in the following albums:
  
  1. Aasai
  1. Kaathal Koattai
  2. Nerukku Ner
  
  Also I find Vidhyasaagar's Uyiroadu Uyiraaga, mesmerising. A couple of songs in Arasiyal are nice, but I can't say the same of the whole album.

  Shankar-Ganesh:
  Can't recall the movie names, but they have some songs which can be easily mistaken as early iLayaraja's works--a compliment in itself.
  
  Deva:
  has some good songs like nalam nalam aRiya, manam virumbudhE, gOkulaththu kaNNA, thanjAvoor maNNeduththu etc, but tough for me to name a whole good album (a common problem for most MDs today?!)
  
  Vidyasagar:
  karNA
  
  One composer who is missing from this list is pApanAsam sivan from the 1930s/40s. I'm still exploring and acquiring a healthy appreciation of the pre-MSV/TKR eras' TFM.
  
  Messrs Viswanathan-Ramamoorthy, iLayaraja and Rahman, "excluded" here, have all significantly impacted TFM in their own unique ways. But, looking at the history of TFM, I believe there was/is good TFM with/before/beside/beyond them and continue to stay optimistic regarding its future.

  sundhari sowndhari from thookku thookki is one of GRamanathan's masterpieces, like you said, and is a personal favorite of mine. But NOV specified full albums, so I couldn't include TT here :(

  Kanchana- thanks for your immense contribution (what about pre-MKT?), but no, I'm not trying out any experimentation. :-))
  This one is purely for fun, but now that you've mentioned it, I am begining to wonder whether any thread without the above-mentioned three, will survive long. Interesting right?
  Your statement saying that was/is good TFM with/before/beside/beyond the trio, is very well put.
