Firstly, where the hell is he? I know he did some concerts or something but where are all his latest movies and hits? Parasuram should be opening soon but what happened to the rest?? I was looking fwd to Yelelo, Boys, New, E18U20(something like that!), etc. All these films supposed to have opened some time ago but they have vanished. Did he delay these films again or the producers withdrew the films?
What's more, nowadays his music has become so mundane that the feelings I use to have looking out for the release so eagerly have also vanished. Has the upsurge in quality by other newcomers made his music so mundane? Has he given up film music. His Bombay Dreams has been a total failure and a waste of time listening to it. Just where is he & what is he up to?

ARR has to stop making songs to attract 5year-olds. He has to come up with strictly melody based albums (which he is good at also). He has to realise that the kids who were 5 years old in 1992 have now grown up and are looking for grown up type songs. And the present 5year-olds have YSR, HJ,.... to listen to. It is high time ARR made music for adults.

I don't know how far it is true. But it came in the news paper when ARR was recording for Thenali.I don't remember the exact date.It is a tamil daily news paper 'Mumbaitimes'from mumbai.

The last ARR soundtrack to do well in Tamil is AP, KK and Rhythm.
I would pinpoint the time when Vairamuthu broke-up with ARR and the emergence of HJ after that the cos of ARR's downfall in Tamil music industry.
He also focused too long in BD even though most of the songs were covers.
If I was the producer of Baba and the music director couldn't care less to be in India to compose the songs - I say drop the guy...

'Yaahaikkum Adi Sarukkum'. "Athuvum naanthaan periya isaiyamaippaalan endra garvam kondaal, nitcheyam bayangara sarukkaakathaan irukkum. ARR is a chinnappayal.Still long way to go to achieve what IR has achieved. He is slow, loosing his assistants like Harris Jeyraj and Aslam Mustapha. But really if he had so much talent, then he should come up with better tunes than these.....For one of the top earning Asians, he better produce something better, not just be arrogant and claim in interviews that i only make quality music..that's why i am so slow...bull-sh*t quality...my foot quality,, if not the fans will boot him into oblivion. Wake up ARR and his blind-no-music-sense-fans!!!!

Aslam Mustafa?
He is the one did music for the famous 'Musthafa Musthafa' song.. they initially planned it as 'Aslaam Aslaam' but then went with the last name instead of first.

HAHA,
ARR IS THE BEST you must be joking,
boys sample songs are nothing in comparison with the uyirin uyirae song. HJ rulez, man! He brought a new trend with this song. Itīs rocking everywhere in our country (like the song thakka thaiya from dil se earlier).
Boys just sucks! It will be a flop and ARR lost his magic...just because of the fact that i didnt have the powerfull feeling which i had when i heard the kaake kaake samples in the boys samples

the sample songs from boys are something new, something fresh, something interesting to listen to.
what do u mean arr has lost his magic??he can't be producing chinna chinna asai forever right??
look at uyirin uyire...its sounds like a modified version of a song from samurai(can't remember the title)..the starting music ,the singer ,all sounds the same!
but is arr doing that?NO...he's always trying to create something new, something better...not recycling his music like what your great hj does!!

for all those out there...if u wanna know something....that is to those who hate rahman.......this is the guy who revolutionized indian music and put it on the charts.........im from canada...and when u say a r rahman..the white folks here are like...man that guy's music is mind boggling man!......ask other md's to reach this level of international fame...and further more...pls see rahman as a human being rather than a md....he has brought so many new singers and given hope and brought back the old singers........the great spb and yesudass to mention a few.......u see there is a difference between illayaraja sir and rahman.........illayaraja sir created a music that suited the 70.s, and 80,and it was a fresh music then....then in the 90's came this man called a r rahman......who gave a new meaning for music to the world with his music...........and after that came out the rahman clones...who started experimenting with western and classical tunes......fusion is the name for this.......so who created this trend? a man known as a r rahman..........so...rspect the founder, creator and inventor of these trend.......and stop complaining folks...the man could be having a rough time now.........if u guys think itz so easy to compose a song.......why not try doing so and see how is it like....im a composer myself and i play for jingles in canada........so pls...dont bad mouth this guy and think of the good work he has given to the world from his 10 years of involvement in music to all of us aorund the world........thank you and have a nice day folks!

martin,
The white folks around me never heard of ARR. The white folks when I was in england have never heard of ARR. The great music vithvans of the west have never heard of ARR. ALW is not regarded as vithvans. ARR did not revolutionize anything. He just simply put tamil lyrics into what MJ, Vangelis, Peter Gabriel and so many other westerners did before him.
If you want to know abt white folks recognition of Indian talents then ask John Scott, Lazlo Kovacs, and so many of my English friends whom I dared to play them Ilayaraaja.
Whereas, for fusion music, IR did it long time ago(Meendum Kokila, Tik Tik Tik, Netrikan, NBW, HTNI, and so many others that I can't remember!) when ARR still need not decide anything abt his life or future. And he did it with a class. Its not the fusion that the modern MDs are doing simply and cheaply which irritates the ear and that includes Duet.
"and after that came out the rahman clones...who started experimenting with western and classical tunes......fusion is the name for this.......so who created this trend? a man known as a r rahman..........so...rspect the founder, creator and inventor of these trend"
The above shows how much your musical knowledge is and how childish it is. Having such knowledge is not wrong but to with that knowledge to think ARR is the whole world speaks wonders abt you. All like you have said such things and vanished, just as what is happening to ARR's music nowadays. Before you accuse others, there's news for you. Check out IR. Past, present and future.
"so pls...dont bad mouth this guy and think of the good work he has given to the world from his 10 years of involvement in music to all of us aorund the world".....u ought to re-think that after taking a look all the crap out there!
And don't forget that I'm not even talking abt BGM. If I do that, then you'll be lightyears away from me. I can carry on writing. But to make it short, just go and listen to the whole album of Anandha Kummi. You will find ARR, YSR, KR, Vithyasagar, etc in there.

Martin...
what the hell u r talkign man....
dont u know...IR is a lot better than Mozart and Bach
and Ambleen haev more musical knowledge that IR himself....
ARR is nothing, he just copies, copies and copies...and u guys..simply praise him....
Please...take note...
1) IR is better that Mozart
2) Ambleen have more musical knowledge than any human in this world
3) Ambleen knows all the white people
4) If Ambleen doesn't like then it got to be crap
5) If Ambleen's friends never heard of something, it is not worth mentioning
6) ARR is crap...no matter what.....
pothuma.....(and yes please...ambleen...go ahead...with ur trade mark phrases)
