Yesterday i saw both the cassette and CD of "Sathurangam" movie starring Srikanth and Sonia agarwal and the movie is directed by Karu Palaniappan. The successful team of "Parthiban Kanavu" is back again. The album has one bharathiyar song sung by Manicka Vinayagam, and other songs sung by madhubalakrishna, harini, karthik, timmy and others. Have anybody heard the album. How is the album

Sathurangam songs are good compared to the other songs vidyasagar gave this year ...great to listen to melodious songs from vidyasagar again
"enna thantheno" is simply superb song the best song ive heard from vidyasagar this year
"vizhiyum vizhiyum" is another great notable number sung by madhu balakrishnan and harini (missed her voice soo much)
"enge enge" is a soft ballad a song you can listen to when you are going to sleep, very nice song
"ennenne pidikkum " and "ambulimaama" are foot tapping numbers, wanna make you dance
"aaduvoome palli" is a bharathiyar kavithai tranformed into a song nice try, this is what vidyasagar is very good at.

This is probably not the right place to post this news. But please bear with me....
Vidyasagar gave a very interesting interview to Eenadu, a telugu news daily. Unfortunately the interview is in telugu font. Here is the link: http://www.eenadu.net/ncineshow.asp?qry=cinefront1
He talks a lot about his name and fame in Tamil and Malayalam. And being a telugu, he still can't understand why, after 80+ films in telugu, he did not make a name for himself.
He also talks about his latest telugu film Swarabhishekam. He has apparently used some rare ragams for this movie (Varali, Apoorva karnaranjani etc...). He praises KViswanath for extracting the best music out of him.
He talks about his international project as well. The interview was quite engaging and VS speaks very candidly about several things.

I think, after IR, he is the one with some real substance. Doesn't depend on others help in composing. He does a lot of films but that doesn't seem to affect the quality and variety. Almost all of his films have at least a few hits. Though the media is projecting Harris as the current No.1, IMHO it belongs to Vidyasagar.
