  Yes Kunnakudi Vaidyanathan directed all of the movies he produced. I can think of Thodi Ragam. I can't think of other movies of his.

  How about directors who wrote the lyrics for their movies? I can recall: RV UdhayKumar, TR and Agastiyan. Any more?
  As a digression, TR has handled all of the foll. in one movie atleast: Direction, Production, Story/screenplay/dialogue, music, lyrics, cinematography, Editing, singing and of course acting! yappa.. Is it for real?

  Aabaavaanan but not able to recollect it.

  Rajaram: Daanu scored the music for puthuppaadagan starring Viajykanth and Amala. (They called it theruppaadagan first and then changed the name.) It had a moderate hit: 'malya kudanju paadhai amaichchEn'. Ofcourse he produced and directed the movie also. I am not sure about the lyrics. Nallavanukku music Chandrabose. TR scored music for koolikkaaran. (I think that was it. Anyway it was the movie in which Radharavi gets covered by gold in the climax. :)

  Devendran was the MD for Nallavan. TR did the music for 'koolikkaran'and Thanu for 'pudhupaadagan'.

  a song in that movie which starts with
  "vaaraanga vaaraanga..." was scored by him.
  he also directed the movie 'Umai vizhigaL"
  
  one more person is selvaganesh(is this his name?)
  he directed and also scored the music for his film 'kadal meengaL"(is that correct?) which was relesed in 1995/96.
  one famous song from this movie is:

  Aravindan it wasnt TR. Im pretty sure it is
  by Devendaran. "Koolikkaran'is the only Vijayakanth film that had TRs music.
  
  The songs u have mentioned are from Nallavan.
  
  One famous song in Koolikkaran is

  cinemap: aabavaanan didn't direct oomai vizhigal or senthoorappoovE. OV was directed by Aravindaraj and I think he did senthoorappoovE also. The first one was produced by Abaa and I am not so sure about the second, might be Raavuththar films (i.e. VK's home production).
  Ramki: Did Aabaavaanan direct annan ennadA thambi ennadA? The title sounds very non-aabaavaanish. :-)

  To help us SunTV is screening 'nallavan' this Wednesday. TFMites in India, please check out the titles for the MD. I get Sun here. But the movie starts at 10pm IST, which is 0030 SG time. athu varaikkum thoongkaama 'nallavan'aip paakka mudiyumaa? hehehehe

  Kalaipuli thanu. I still remembere one article on
  chandrabose that time in some magazine, how he was successful in getting big banner films at that time?.
  I don't think abavanan scored music for any films. He was co music director for all his own
  productions first with manoj-kiyan and later with
  sirpi. Though I feel some of the songs in those
