  I appeal to all real fans to refrain from using bad languages in this forum. Look at the title and look at what you are all writing. These forums are being read by lots of people. Even your sister or mother may be reading this. Please do not degrade your Tamil, and Tamil culture. If you want to degrade YOURSELF, there are many other ways but do not use these forums.   Thanks to Geeth for the genuine request. This project is going to be done only by well-wishers'contributions and as such, though there has been steady flow of donations, it could have been better. However, undaunted by these struggles, Tamil Maiyam is going forward with its efforts to make this historic event happening!! As of today, Jan 25th is the day set for IIR's travel to Hungary and when that happens, it will be 75 days from that date for the final product to roll out[35 days for the practice and final symphony show and 35 more days for the CD's ready for market]. Now that, Tamilnadu Foundation has approved this project, all your donations are now tax-deductable! Hence we appeal to all the well-wishers to send their contributions as soon as possible. Make out the checks in favor of "TNF" and write in the memo column as "For Project Thiruvasakam" and send it to one of us NOW!   I have been trying my best to mobilise some promotion for TiS in Singapore area.
  
  Can you please update me about the following:
  1. When is the release date of the CD?
  2. When and where the concerts are planned?
  3. Normally BBC does very interesting documentaries videos like 'Making of Album / Symphony' or something like that... Composition, Practice or whatever is going happen in Hungary would definitely be made into an interesting documentary with interviews etc. edited into it... Has TiS attempted roping any of Tamil Channels to doing this? There could be some useful income for the project on account of this also...

  world peace'kkum thiruvasagathakkum enna sambantham? sutha dumb concept. showing IR's education level or the maturity level of people around him. now he lost all those 'educated ones' when he did symphony.
  
  4-5 tamil fanatics joined and started this whole process of begging. i guess eelam tamilians are involved in this. although, i strongly support your cause, there are better ways to do it.

  zulfi and 'my views' and other 'likes' -- Since you don't understand what it is and obviously don't have the knowledge and brains to see and appreciate Ilayaraja's effort and his music, JUST STOP SHOWING UP AGAIN IN THIS FORUM. This is not the place to show your vayathericals and ignorance with your utter stupid comments.

  "Free Forum" doesn't confer any rights to cross the decency borders. I agree with 'cho' that one should use restraint when writing in such forums. It is always proper to use appropriate language where hundreds of people [may be your own sister or mother] are reading this. Enough said.
  No one is 'Begging' for TiS. TiS will happen no matter if you contribute or not. This is only an earnest appeal to get involved in a noble project when you have a chance to be part of it as it is going to be done "by the public, of the public and for the public". This is different from any other IIR's film music where the producer paid for the creation and we ended up buying the CD to give a profit to the maker. Whereas, this one is for public benefit and the only profit-makers are going to be 'we', as the proceeds are not going into anyone's personal account but in setting up music colleges for the same cause, in India and SriLanka. Giving or not-giving is your own wish but if you dont want to give, please look elsewhere[there are hundreds of threads above and below this, to satisfy your itch] and dont throw dirt on your own mother[Tamil] and sister[music]! Again, enough said.
