  ‘Innisai Vendhar’ award to Vidhyasagar
  
  
  The Rotary club of Madras Mylapore conferred the ‘For the sake of honour’ award and the title ”Innisai Vendhar” to renowned film music director Vidhyasagar, for his contribution to the music industry at a fuction held at Kamaraj Arangam. Rotary District Governor Benjamin Cherian presented the award to the music director and lyricist Vairamuthu presented him the title of Innisai Vendhar.

  A cool mix of songs!;). The director seems to have made his intentions clear with VS to have some dance numbers.
  Shankar Mahadevan has done his best in "Machan paeru madhurey"...One more of the 'Market set' song..
  The female singer in the song "Ice katti" looks new n' sounds sexy...A new addition to the band of Vasundhara Das, Sunitha sarathy...

  I don't understand how VS got "Innisai Vendar"?
  He blatantly copies IR, ARR, MSV and pretends as though he does not like any of the current MDs (he has said that in an interview).
  
  Arjunar Villu Arichandran Sollu (Killi) - He copied blantantly Azaghiya Thamizh Magal Eval (MSV - MGR Movie - Rishakaran?) in the charanam part.
  
  Even, appadi poddu poddu beat sounds like an old IR's song but cannot figure it out.
  
  Yeppene Yeppenee Enachu (Thendral) - Copied of three of IR's legendary songs, ie., Pattusolli (Azhagi) - overall style, Unkuthamma(Azhagi) - Tabla arrangement, Vannaville (Ramana - piano arrangement).
  
  Adithozhi Adithozhi (thendral) - Copied from Oliyile (Azhagi).
  
  He is the most overrated MD currently and comes next to Deva in copying.

  Yea,Shalalala is also a copy of my nursery ryhmes(rememner singgin it 10 years ago in my kindergarden-the s1st stanza)and the dum daka dum daka dum dum is so obvious he copied it from IR.not sure if its Ramana,the middle part is just a cut & paste from many many songs,i really hates his music nowdays u know,even i rate HJ & YSR above him after all these cheap songs in Gille,Madure,etc etc,he come compose a song like in his 90s anymore,he is def dun deserve to get any award,Apadi podu is def a copied song from old IR songs,and Thendral,no need to say,CUT & PASTE from various IR songs.thanks to him quality music doesnt get reconized now days,only Dappa songs r rulling the charts!!where is IR,ARR,HJ or YSR??save us from cheap musics!!!!!!!!!!its a request from a TAMIL MUSIC LOVER,as vairamuthu said in an interview in Malaysia :there was one kaalam when QUALITY music rulled the TAmil industry(IR),then QUALITY & FUN music rulled the tamil industry (ARR),now?only Fun songs,no more quality songs beeing apriciated! = VS,Dhina,Deva,Srikanth,etc etc,

  Vidyasagar deserves credit for making great songs in south india for 15 years he has been a music director. Remember this guy has worked for Ilayaraja for 13 years. Its about time he gets some awards in tamil cine music field. HE has done great songs like: malare mounama, anbe anbe nee en pillai, dhilruba, adi aathi nenjil pattampoochi, un samayal araiyil, kadhal vandhathum, aasai aasai, kana kandeanedi thozhi etc. Why shouldnt he receive "Innisai Vendhar" award???
  
  I wish Vidyasagar best of luck with his new movies and hopes he will be in tamil cine field in many more years!!!!!!
