  Just now completed listening to ARR's new,
  Feeling really sad,that he has gone to prove that he can go this worst too.
  'Kalaiyil ezhundadhum' sung by Unni krishnan and Sadhana is a mediocre track and the only one which somehow tries(yeah ,jus tries) to justify the money i spent on this CD.
  Nithya shree singing 'Maarkandaye'..Rahman has gone crazy...,a dumb tune to NS
  'Spider man'--disaster....
  The so-called remix of 'Thotaal' is worst of all.....
  Karthick,Blazee& co's title track yet again proves the point,Blazee is here to spoil everything..the track is the most irritating(anybody wanting to call this one as foot tapping???)
  
  Rahman is on his way to prove his versatility in this way too,i think after the great 'KKS','Tehzeeb' and a even more brilliant 'Meenaxi' and the youthful and theme oriented AE(though not great in the league of KKS,Meenaxi),Rahman gives his worst to 'New'.Disaster.

  Kaalaiyil Ezhunthadhum is a beautiful number. It's one of the most touching numbers Rahman's come up w/ in recent times. This song and Spiderman tend to grow on u as u listen to them.
  
  I was impressed w/ Sakkarai and New theme immediately.
  
  As for Thotaal Poo Malarum... It impressed me quite quickly too. Original tune-ae marandhu pochu! :)
  
  "If u wanna come along" and "Markandeya" arent surely upto Rahman's class though.
  
  U cant put down this album as disastrous. It is good. I'd definitely say it's worth the money u put in.

  Oh Curses,almost my point of view only..
  Out of three you have mentioned as best,definetely two or ok for me(Kaalaiyil,Sakkara),and the title track...may gulp it down after sometime,lets see...
  "If u wanna come along" and "Markandeya" both sounds bad,and am sure that Rahman wouldn't have composed them.
  I termed it as disastrous simply because Rahman is capable of much more and his real capability is nowhere fully portrayed in this album.This is definetely better than HJ's Arasaatchi,or Ullam ketkumae or any other recent tfm album barring AE,but is Rahman's real power lying in jus proving he is better than crap?,I don't think so,possibly the theme of 'New' only deserve this..that might be the reason.The man simply weaved magic in Meenaxi,KKS and AE too.OK.
  After seeing the film we may conclude that the only positive aspect of the movie is Rahman's music,such is the trailers,that's y SJS struggled like anything to get hold of Rahman it seems.

  teludu version is better, even though i only understood the part where he says.."amma"..but the lyrics sounds smoother to me...
  
  in tamil..just the one line made it look squeezed...the line where they sing "thalaiva, neen yenthan talichan pillai,"...i just don't see it flowing smoothly...

  Yeah the lyrics pointed by Ferari looks odd
  From the whole song,can we not guess the situation?,its SJS singing for Simran(who is pregnant)..that is he respects his wife Simran (who is going to become mother of his child)as his Mother itself at times...this track comes there..
  So masakkaigal mayakkam kondu
  (she is pregnant)
  madi saayum vaazhai thandu" (she is madi-saanjing on SJS)..
  Did you ppl note SJS calling here 'Niraimaadha nilavey vaa...'
  And she calling him as her 'Thalichan pillai'
  
  So to sum up a pregnant lady treats her husband as her 'Mootha ' pillai...
