Is only IR arrogant? (If at all he is)

There has been this image of IR being arrogant from his early days. I feel its more of lack of verbal communication from his part, and his peers being musicaly not par with him to communicate to him. What can you expect to a director, asking for Sitar type music for a scene.

Now let see who else is arrogant in TF world.

Rajni, made a sick statement that raja earns money on par with actor like him who work hard in sun. May be a joke but its unwanted. Is this a humble?

Kamal says he is bringing international std to kodambakkam. What is it about?. It may not be a direct statement, but he talks to that effect. The thing is, wasnt mahendran or others making movies of I std? Just because they are made in tamil without any 'inspiration' from hollywood, they are not upto I'std?. I'std comes when we make movies true to ourselves, not when they package india for foreign audience as in film like Kamasutra. Isnt kamal statements like last hope of TF arrogant?.

Rahman ignored IR name purposely in his early interviews when asked MDs whose music he admired. He said he is trying to bring some I'std to tamil music?. I can agree Tamil films are not great, but when music standard went that bad?. Best part was his claim that he used hollywood style of BGM. All his interviews he wants keep an separate identity, than other MDs as if he has got a dozen grammmys. Why cant he talk like a TFM MD?. Arent all these crap?.

SAR says he the melody king, himself!. so humble. Deva says all his copy is coincedence.

  i'm not going to refute or support this point. because i did not read/hear about it earlier. But i take it as truth. Now if a MD who is very busy(then) says that i never heard his musicabout a "new wonder"(of that time) who has just given, say, 3 or 4 films, what is wrong in it???
  
  It might be wrong if listeners like u, me and others say that i don't listen (or) haven't listened to ARR at all during that time(even i have some examples in my home who haven't listened to ARR during that time, but those might be less in number). But on the other had it is pretty ok for a MD to say. I think even MSV might have been in same situation during annakkiLi days.
  
  had IR said about his predecessors esp. MSV then we can say it as arrogance; had he said it after alaipayuthae or KK then we can say it as arrogance. he said only during Gentleman days.
  
  Also, what KR said("sound engineer") might be due to arrogance for many, for me it is due to envy (vaithaerichal) not due to arrogance.

  Actually IR collabarated with Kamal for the lyrics for that song. And do u mean to say that if u replace that line with some extra-ordinary poetry,the song will sound good. No way!! Its the tune that is bad. And by commenting on the BGM, are u saying that the songs were no shakes.

  You are putting words in IR's mouth. He never said Hey Ram in this context. Anyways, he also said, "Every note is mine". Can we expect ANY other MD to make such a statement with a straight face ?
  
  Sridhar, if you dont like IR's music is a different issue, but it is totally insincere to discredit IR for all his accomplishments in Hey Ram or for that matter in any Tamil film movie(s). BTW, he wrote, 'isaiyil thodanguthamma'. Dont you think it is good ? Aren't you being selective in your criticism ?

  What is IR's contribution to lyrics in his music(for the songs he didn't write the lyrics)?
  Some of the lyrics for his songs are exceptionally good and some others doesn't complement his music well.

  I dont know whether you saw the interview in Sun TV called 'Hey Ram Isai Payanam'.These were the exact words of his mouth and not what I put in. Also, there are a few good songs in Hey Ram, but if you cannot accept the fact that that part. song in the party was absolutely atrocious, you are not a true music fan. I am an ARR fanatic, but I will also tell you that Tenali was 1 of his worst albums. I am yet to see an IR fan do that. I cant understand why...
  And Trend, when I mentioned the line from Hey Ram, I was talking mainly about the tune of that song and secondarily the lyrics.

  By discussing whether IR is arrogant, you guys go arrogant. As per kk, nobody has understood the topic clearly yet. Ippidi oru topic unmaiyelaye thevaiya...If I understood correctly, if IR is imagined to be arrogant, then who else are.
  
  FYI,Being arrogant is different from talking arrogantly. While discussion lot of you guys hurt each other, means you go arrogant at times. Does this mean you guys are arrogant? Remember, one can be arrogant while talking for the following reasons;
  
  1. feeling superior
  2. a competitor jumps in
  3. when is totally frustrated about something
  4. repeatedly answering for the same questions
  5. may go wild reading somebody's answers (like this one)
  6. would have had fight with somebody (like wife, sons or others)
  7. mood out
  8. when others do not get the point he tries to say..
  
  etc..
  
  Talking arrogant is different from being arrogant. In that sense, I don't think any longlasting MD is arrogant in nature..

  he(IR) was telling(boosting) about the music like:
  (i) every notes is mine
  (ii) music were set to pre-picturised songs
  (iii)conductor@hungary said "you are a special composer"
  (iv) so far whatever i have given is oorugai and appaLam and my main course is YET TO BE SERVED.
  
  but he did not say that main course has started/unleashed from Hey!Ram not even indirectly.
  
  but yes he was very proud of his music of Hey!Ram.
